it's a battery. And GoPro stands behind their products. I had an issue with the battery packaged with my camera, and they swapped it out when DOA. Love the GoPro. When are they shipping the QuadCopter?

Good backup to have, as the camera needs a lot of juice.

One thing I have noted is that when you run your GoPro in hot areas (Arizona 95+ degrees), they run down about 25% faster. Also the battery exterior becomes soft and you need to be careful not to bend the battery case.

I will get straight to the flaw, Battery life. You can probably get a good 1hr - 1hr 1/2 with no worries. I bought this product as a back up. It is great for when you are running low on juice and need a boost. If you are making short clips here and there, this item will last about 2-3 hrs, it Just depends. Enjoy!

Enjoying it! Uses galore. Like the technology and the vast uses of this device. I have started using it to add down front for weddings is churches that frown on "down-front" cameras and the shots are very nice.

Due to the size of the hero 3 being reduced the battery capacity has been drastically reduced. The solution is to have two or three of these handy to extend shooting. They are reasonably priced for any consumer.

Extra batteries are nice of course for more recording and such. I still feel these batteries should last longer but I don't mind too much. If these smaller batteries don't cut it, look into the battery bacpac!

This battery was originally meant for the gopro hero3, but it will still fit on the gopro hero3+. It doesn't quite last as long but still good enough to catch an hour and 20 minutes(average) of footage.

I purchased off brand batteries for the camera, but they last about half as long as the GoPro batteries. Do yourself a favor, and skip the no-name versions to avoid disappointment.

I read this battery had a short operation time. Not true. I did turn the camera off when I was not filming. I believe this product performed as expected.

Although I find the batteries don't last more than about an hour at the 1080/60fps setting, they are reasonably priced which makes it affordable enough for me to keep more on hand.

Has identical capacity and design as original so easy to predict performance. It would be nice to have a higher capacity battery for underwater videography since can't change out during mid-dive.

It simply a back-up battery to the original. I went with an OEM battery to avoid having issues with charging it or getting it to fit in the HERO3.

I am the kind of user that likes using original equipment for after market purchases. You know it will give factory performance and the company will stand behind it if there is a problem.

I felt so much better buying the original battery for my GoPro. I tried some aftermarket ones, but they all suck! Don't be a cheapskate - just pony up the $20.00 and get yourself a sure thing.

I love the larger Sd card for my Go Pro , I can record for longer periods when riding on trips on the motorcycles, it's awesome quality and sound , and it was on sale so it was even better!
