A must if you want to really use your Go Pro, and a very reasonable price

For the size of this battery it has a decent battery life. Personal recommendation is to have more than 1 (I own 3 of these batteries just in case)

I've taken my Hero4 Silver hiking,Paintballing, and karting and each time i had to cut my videos short due to a dead battery. With a big ski trip coming up i grabbed two extra ones for $20 each and definitely know they will pay for themselves after this trip. I use my wi fi alot and GoPro know how the battery life isn't the best so at $20 each...grab some extra batteries.

This battery from my experience last much longer than the hero 3 battery.

Extra battery was needed, wish i had purchased the external charger also.

I love the GoPro product line! Just one complaint, the battery only lasts about an hour. I have hree of these including the one that came with the camera. Gives me ample recording time since I'm an amateur and do not record much. Definitely would recommend buying the charging unit which also comes with one battery and then buying one separate battery.

You will definitely need extra batteries for your gopro. Works great.

After reading reviews online, I knew that my GoPro battery would only last for around 2 hours and this would not be enough time for my snowboarding trips. I purchased a spare battery to replace when needed. Even though it says 2 hours, I found it to last for only 1 hour when on my last trip. This could be due to WiFi also using up more of the battery. I will play with it more on my next adventure to get the most optimum battery life.

A friend and I each purchased a GoPro Hero 4 Silver at the same time. We each wanted an extra battery and the a/c charger. Unfortunately there was only one charger in stock and my friend got the charger and a spare battery. Mine were ordered and shipped to my home. Turns out the charger and battery were for the Hero 3, which doesn't fit Hero 4 and the Best Buy associate didn't catch the error. My friend charged his and attempted to use it and discovered the error. A phone call to BB and they stepped up to the plate, ordered the correct items and shipped them to our homes 70 miles from the store. The price? They only charged us the cost of the 3 charger, a savings of over 50%. That is why BB is my number one store for all my appliances, cameras and entertainment equipment.
