I bought this backpack because of the chest strap and mounting position on the shoulder strap. It felt good using it, but when I used it on a day hike that's when I knew it was not meant for me. The description says it can hold up to 2L of water. So I filled up my hydration bladder and I put it in. It looked perfectly find in the compartment. Beginning of the hike, my back was acting up. I couldn't figure it out until my military friend pointed out the flaw. The hydration bladder was pushing on my back. With its vertical round curvature, it was aggravating my back. I had to dump some water to make it the back a little flat. Wrong idea! 3/4 into the hike, I ran out of water. So it's a good bag, but I won't use it for a hydration system.
