Definitely a must have. Pairs flawlessly and has an amazing range. Works much better than the GoPro App for controlling your camera.

My husband insisted we buy this style of camera because he wants to mount it to his motorcycle. It's an everything camera for us. I had an event over a weekend and found out the battery might last 2 hours so make sure you have at least 1 spare while charging the dead 1. And a 64 card lasted about 2 hours, so you want to have enough memory cards if it's an important event. Don't let the people at the store tell you anything different. I ran out of space and I don't think I have 4 whole hours, or just about. If you're making memories, time is priceless especially 1 time events.

First one defective like many of the reviews on Amazon, wouldn't charge. Second one is doing great...trip to Florida and did well in the water...charged every night bc if not you won't make it all day while using it. Highly recommend if you have a GoPro...

I can remotely take pictures or record videos. In addition, it is way easier and faster to use than connecting your camera to a phone using the app.

Very small camera that can be used for so many applications and can do so much with the free edit program. Use it all the time find that the price is very reasonable. Get a lot for alittle cost. If anyone is on the fence over getting on. Just do it!

It does everything it says. Works from a great distance. My only knock is it seems a bit pricey.

This is an important part for the camera and I love it. It is easy to use and I'm very satisfied with my Go Pro camera and my new remote.

The smart remote really wasnt worth the money i purchased for it. There are apps on your phone that does the same thing and the battery life did not last as long as the gopro (at least for skiing).

Camera is ok. Price is way to high for what it does. No zoom? come on its almost 2016. I do like the compact size. Should be selling for 1/2 the price.

Got this specifically for a trip driving through Badlands National Park as well as Rocky Mountain National Park. I used the GoPro suction cup mount on the car and this remote allowed me to start and stop video clips as I was driving and not have to worry about fumbling with the iPhone app. Occasionally it gave me some issues connecting to the camera, but once it was connected it stayed connected and was fine.

I purchased this GoPro remote thinking that I would be able to use this for prolonged periods of time when I am outside camping or hiking. I carry my GoPro every time I go out, and so along comes the Remote. The remote does it's job well of taking pictures and videos remotely, but the worst part is that it's battery dies off too quickly. I have experienced this multiple times and end up using my GoPro on its own after the remote battery is dead. Maybe I received a piece with a faulty battery....

Excellent product and easy to use I recommended. Very good when underwater.

I am at a loss for words at what this Hero 4 Black can do. Coming from a professional shooting environment where camera bodies can cost 3-6k, I could not believe the images this is capable of. You just have to see for yourself.

Works fine, Easy to pair. Have not had the opportunity to check out the distance or battery life yet.

I love this remote. A great accessory if you own a gopro. It's a must have if you take a lot of action video's or pictures on the fly.

I bought this for my boyfriend to go with his GoPro for Christmas. He said it is a must-have for those using their GoPro in the outdoors. It has been super useful for him when snowboarding and using a extension pole.

With advent of the Go Pro camera and its wide assortment of mounts, having a remote for said device just makes sense. It's not always easy and efficient (memory card space ) to start the camera from the on device Button.

Haven't gotten to use it as much as I wanted to yet. Key word YET. This thing is rad it out ur phone app to shame with no lag time and ready to go out of the box.
