Used it with a Hero4 silver and while under water the camera and remote worked very well together. After reviewing some of my videos I am glad I purchased the remote. The only drawback is that the remote drains the battery faster. Just be sure to take an extra battery.

Better instructions needed.

The battery needs a charger for it separate from the computers USB port, it takes to long to charge it through a USB port. I did finally find several great videos on how to mate the Hero 5 camera to the remote on You Tube.

Recording Made Easier!

Having the ability to be across the room or on a field and be able to control your camera is awesome. I have used this remote to help me record my son's baseball games and other outdoor activities. Highly recommend!

Since I use a GoPro Session, and I don't often feel like pairing up with my phone, the remote gives me best control over camera functions and while on the go doing activities, the wrist strap lets you control the camera with ease.
