It's an ok product but not as easy as I thought. Too much switching of buttons must occur before getting to the screen you need.

...but a sonofagun to pair with the camera. But I'd buy it again. It's a good addition/option to have available for your set-up.

It meets the basic function and beyond. You can control the camera, switch between modes, it´s water resistant, and with the accessories you can use it in your wrist, put in in the GpPole, or link it to a key chain, Disadvantages: You cant use it when you camera, and/or control is under water, they loose the signal.

The remote lives up to its description and works like a charm. I love that I can mount my camera and then not worry about having to find the correct button when you are ready to shoot. Only drawback would be battery life while it is paired but just make sure to turn the wifi off and you are good to go when needed.

This remote does the trick of powering on and off the gopro camera as well as taking videos and photos remotely which I love. Great product from gopro. Thought the juice if this remote tends to drain easily, which I think is the only negative thing I can say about this product.

This items is helpful when taking selfies and videos where u can mount the camera somewhere. Would recommend to everyone!

The smart remote connects and works seamlessly to the Hero 6. Definitely a great accessory to Hero 6!

It goes without saying, that is is a must have accessory for any GoPro user.

I just took this on my cruise where I went jeep riding on the beach. Worked great. Cant wait to us it snowboarding

This is a great tool when using the a GoPro camera. It allows you to start videos or take a photo, just by pushing on the remote bottom. It also allows you to change the setting on the camera, all from a distance and without yelling (for those of you that have a voice activated camera).

Bought this product because I was tired of trying to control the gopro with my phone. Don't get me wrong, the phone method works great too. But when you need a more hands-free approach, this item works great! I also bought the selfie stick that houses the remote so it's super convenient together.

Always great to have this add on accessories, you can have far better results than just using plain old handy camera

I recently just used the remote while snorkeling and the wifi feature worked perfectly while under water, huge plus!

Although not necessary, my son really loved this addition to his GoPro Hero.

The remote takes a few minutes to connect to the Hero7 black, and will occasionally lose the connection if you’re more than 20 feet away. But when it works (95% of the time), this is a very convenient accessory.

My only wish list for the remote would be for the display to rotate on the remote depending on it's orientation.

This is a must have for your GoPro. I was using the app on my phone for my GoPro 4 silver and it lags way to much.

I picked this up for use while snowboarding. Operating the buttons on the camera itself was very difficult and I usually didn't want to fiddle with unmounting the camera from wherever I had it. The remote allowed me to operate the camera while keeping my gloves on which is exactly what I wanted!

This remote makes it easy to control your camera from afar. It comes with a wrist strap so you can wear it like a large watch. If you can see yourself using this, I say it's a no brainer. If you prefer to use your phone app, then this could be a second thought. It's not a must, but it's very handy.
