great remote for a session 4. it is tricky to set up but just follow the booklet and you will be fine. once its paired it works just fine. i used mine while snorkeling. it is waterproof to a certain amount but it will not stay connected to camera while under water.

Great if you want to be in the action. A must have.

I purchased the GoPro Hero5 so I had an option to get this or voice remote. Since I don't use voice much, I went with this. I love it. I wear it on my wrist so between using this and the Capture App, I rarely touch the camera when taking pics or video. This is a must-have addition to your GoPro

I was always using my smart phone to remotely control my GP's but now its so much easier and convenient, portable, compact,very reliable and well withing budget, best accesory i have purchased so far. I highly recomend it!!

I found this very handy for when I need to turn the gopro on and off while not having direct access to it. Comes with a key ring and wriSt strap but wish it came with a lanyard as well for the price.

I don't have a chance to use it much but I feel strong it will be useful!!

This is an absolute must if you are going to be using the extension pole as there is no other way to release the shutter. It is well made and works well in most conditions. I could not get it to work under water which is where I mostly wanted to use it to keep my hands free from the camera itself.

Stopped working about 20 ft from camera. When connection is lost it doesn't just reconnect when in range automatically. Only worth buying for situations where camera is vey close, like on you, but you can't really reach it to turn it on/off.

A great accessory for my GoPro Hero4. Instructions were a bit confusing, but with the help of YouTube, connection with my camera was effortless and pretty straight forward. My only complaint so far is that the screen info is so small I can barely read it without magnification.

Excellent for remote shooting, and even shooting while it's attached to say a snowboard helmet. The setup isn't exaclty the easiest thing in the world, but easy enough once you get it going.

everything works perfectly, it has a good distance to shoot pictures. the only problem that I encounter is that you cant use the control under water.. it is water resistant and all the only thing is that it un-pairs underwater.. I had to take the pictures directly from the camera.

I got this instead of the voice activation model because it mirrors the front screen of the Black Hero5 camera. When the camera is mounted on my head or in other places not easy to see the screen, it does make it easier to determine what mode and if it is recording or not.

At first I was under the impression that you could see what the camera could see via the LCD on this, which led to my initial interest and purchase of this. Found out quickly I misread the description (my fault). However still a handy tool and pairs quickly with your go pro.

The remote works well most of the time. However, there are times that it will randomly disconnect regardless of the distance between it and the GoPro. Usually turning both the remote and GoPro off and then using the remote to turn them on works to reestablish the connection.

the wifi is kind of slow,not really use it a lot,just use it sometime

I used the remote once and I will never use it again. It drains the life of the battery way to fast. You are better off using the GoPro app on your phone for previewing your shot then shut the app off and power the camera manually.

It appears pretty good & the wide shot it make was a surprise

I am new to GoPros but so far this my favorite accessory. I like how you can turn the camera on and off as well as starting and stopping recording. Great if your using it in the car for recording racing. Saves battery and memory.
