This is a product that isn't a necessity, but it works great to start up your GoPro when you are in a setting where you don't want to draw attention to the fact you are recording various segments of an event.

I can't believe I used my GoPro without it. It makes shooting so much easier. When paired with your phone you can see distance shots in real time and get the exact shot you want. I love it!

It's convenient, and clips onto my GoPole, but every time I've powered down the GoPro with the Smart Remote, my GoPro bricks and can't ever power back up, using the buttons on the GoPro or the remote or the app. Finally I found a way to do a "hard reboot" to start up the GoPro by removing the SD card, holding one of the buttons for 20 seconds, then reinserting the SD card, and hitting the power button again. Really weird why shutting down the GoPro via the remote would brick the GoPro. For the high price of the remote, and the annoyance it has caused, I'm not sure it's really that worth it for me.

I got this so I could control my 2 gopros. It works but sometimes it drops the connection between 1 or both of my gopros and has to be readded.

This kit, Camera and remote leave you with so many options for filming. It dramatically alters what you are capable of doing. I wish I had this with my prior camera's

I used This remote for my GoPro camera while in Sturgis SD . Took nearly 800 pics and several videos and batter lasted all day .. real proud of it

I have the GoPro 3+ Black. The remote does not always pair with the camera. So you have to re-pair it. Also, it would be nice if the battery lasted longer.

The idea of this remote is awesome, but it doesn't do what it is supposed to do all the time. I am using it to turn on three GoPro camera's and then start recording, then stop and shut off. Sometimes it works and other times only one camera works or none at all, or two work etc. very frustrating at times. When it does work it is awesome to be able to control three camera (or more) with one remote. Maybe GoPro will come out with firmware updates for the remote and camera so they all work better.

Connecting is not as smooth as I would like. After the camera is powered off you have to reconnect remote. Once connected It works great.

I purchased this one in place of the GoPro Voice Activated Remote. Totally better, best thing since sliced bread. Big improvement over the Voice Activated Remote.

The regular remote is nice but having the small screen on this one makes it worth the extra $20. If you’re going to buy a remote for your GoPro I highly recommend this one.

Good service at Best Buy hoping this rig will perform as I hope it will. I am slow to get started. No issues at this point.

Still learning the intricacies of the camera, but it's been a blast to capture the pics we have. The remote makes things so much easier and allows shots I couldn't get before...

I like it. Battery don't last that long.. needs a different charge cable than everything else. Works with my hero7

Recently used this when I had the camera mounted on the top of my helmet. It was really useful to see smaller LCD on the remote to know that I was recording and on what setting.

I get a lot of use with this when I go on my scooter or longboard or for just anything.

I bought the remote thinking I'd use it but you don't really need it if you have the GoPro hero 5 the voice commands eliminates the need for the remote Overall still a good product

Product work better than I expected it to really work good hands-free was able to just hit one button and record beautiful especially on a rough road like I was

This accessory really compliments my camera, it's really helpful and easy to use. I always take both anywhere I go. GoPro products are made heavy duty and ready for any situation.

I though this would be a great addition which it is but the battery doesn't last as long as last as I would like. other than that two thumbs up
