Got a wifi remote but when this came out i replaced it with this. Tried using it in the pool like the common diving shots and it work great. The added features made using gopro easier.

This remote has a lot of uses. Sure you can use your app on the phone but its very inconvenient sometimes, such as riding on a motorcycle or snowboarding. Just attach it to your wrist!

Must have for selfie stick or for active gopro user , maximum control . I use the remote all the time

The camera is very easy to use for a beginner. It has a lot of cool accessories to go with it. I got it for Christmas so when we go snowmobiling we can take pictures and videos.

The set up was easy to do. It quickly link to the gopro. It nice not to have to go to the camera and hit place. The button are easy to understand and the screen allows you to see if it is recording and for how long. The range of it is nice as well. I was at least 100 meters away and it still was able to start the recording from that distance.

Remote works surprisingly well, it’s lightweight and provides instant control of the GoPro Hero 7. You can change modes, start and stop videos or snap photos, all while having the screen on the camera locked. This is invaluable when shooting underwater when the screen becomes responsive to the water and changes modes without your input. Con: Pricey.

Remote works great and is very easy to set up. Even though you don't have a preview screen on it, once you set up the camera at the angle you need (for stills) it's easy.

Was easy to set up with multiple go pros. Works as advertised. Only used a handful of times so far, but so far so good. It's easier to connect than using your phone.

I purchased a Go Pro remote and tried it for the first time. My camera was attached to a head strap. The remote worked really great and the video came out amazingly perfect.

There is no other way to run the Hero without introducing shake and shutter. The camera is to light. The remote gives you the ability to start and stop without the shake. I wish the remote had a screen to view what the camera sees. Having a camera, a remote to start and start and a smart phone to view is a bit to much.

A great product that just works. Great investment for anyone who uses their unit in a watery location. Pair up to 10 cameras and control them all. Wife loved this.

I got the remote for free as a bundle to the camera. It is normally $80 but it comes very handy. The remote lets you function the camera remotely. This is handy if you have the camera on a mount (such as a bike, watercraft, or head, chest harness) where is not easily accessible during your activity. Yes, you can control the camera with a smartphone, however, the remote is waterproof.

My first use was on a ski trip with my family. I attached it to my helmet and got some great videos. Easy to use, even bundled up for 0 degree temperature.

We travel a lot as a family. I bought this camera for my 19 year old son. He has taken it on our roof, in the pool and while surfing. It does a super job!

Just used the remote on trips to Costa Rica, Las Vegas, & California. Works great in the water. Works great in the Grand Canyon. Works great in Santa Monica.

I wanted it primarily to be able to be away from my gopro and still be able to operate it. I hope to get another gopro soon, and be able to control both.

I use this to operate 4 cameras simultaneously. I find it makes it MUCH easier with the instant on feature enabled.

Comes in handy when you need to snap pictures or start recording. It is wireless which I love. And you could even control the settings through the remote.

We bought this remote to go with our Go Pro. We were going on a trip to Cabo and wanted to take lots of action shots. It worked great. I'd def recommend it.

Makes using the GoPro much easier with being able to start recording eithout needing to have to GoPro in my hand.
