this remote does not work underwater. works very well outside the water. great tool if you use your go pro with an selfie stick or similar

This little remote works as advertised and was impressed by the distance it could operate.

Comes in really handy when it comes to action sports or activities when your camera is not on your hands. It's worth spending on these.

Was easy and quick to connect to the GoPro Hero 4 Silver. Works just as it should, haven't had an issues. Controls the GoPro perfectly.

I bought this remote to use from a distance while hunting. So far the range is great and I am looking forward to using it this fall.

Once you've synced this up with your GoPro, this remote is an excellent accessory to your equipment. Although you can use your phone/pad to control in the same manner, the range and response is much better. Also, is easier to use if your situation requires use of your hands whether on your wrist like a watch or on the lanyard (both provided). For example, when I put the GoPro on my dog during training, I needed my hands free to throw the bumpers. I also used it on my fishing rod and again manually controlling the camera and/or using a phone is not possible. My only complaint was when I used it for snorkeling. Although not a dig against the device itself but rather the laws of physics come into play. The signal does not pass through water. Thus, using the wrist band to turn on and off when I saw something of interest was not possible. The remote battery life is good since it still had a charge after using two GoPro camera batteries. The price is up there for an accessory, but why scrimp now after buying the camera and avoid the hassle of manual or phone control and worse, why risk miss capturing your best shot/video ever.

Works great, so much better control than using the buttons manually on the camera. You can adjust all your settings from a distance, this is nice when you have your camera set on a subject and do not want to touch the GoPro and move it off its subject. You can turn it on/off, start recording and more.

The smart remote works well and makes it easier to use the GoPro with the selfie stick that you can purchase through the company.

Bought this for my 16yo and she loves it. So easy to use and so convenient too. She takes lots of pics using this wherever we go.

Works great if camera is out of reach. Does you the battery on camera much faster. This limits camera time dramatically, so beware.

Not sure its really necessary, but if you wanted to set your camera up and then remotely start it, it would be a good tool to use.

Very easy to use! Most of the time we use the strap so we can just put it around our wrist, more accessible than the keychain.

No bells and whistles, but it works as it was advertised, and it works pretty far away from the camera. Is it worth the money yes.

I have put this thing camera through the paces while saltwater fly fishing in VA. The camera works just as good as they say it does.
