Any Batman fan should get this set and watch and rematch. All,of the first season....great packaging......great cover design

Set in the city Gotham, this series deals with the rise of Jim Gordon through the police department, and the various characters (both good and bad) that become intertwined. This first season focuses on the one who will become the Penguin (no one in this series is who they will be, but you will be introduced to Catwoman, the Riddler, Penguin, and of course, Batman) and his rise to "power". To say more would be to spoil some of the events of the season. It sounds like it should be awesome, and it should have been, but somewhere between the concept and the screen it became boring. There are episodes in this season that are a chore to watch. Granted, there are some payoffs, but it is painful to get there at times. Tone down your expectations, and you might enjoy this weekly "procedural" crime story. Hoping that Season 2 becomes what it should have been from the start.

I love Batman and the whole Gotham universe. This show is very well done and I hope it stays around for quite awhile.

Really enjoyed watching this season of Gotham on TV and had to have this for my DC and Marvel collection!!!!

wasn't sure how I would like this show but I am hooked. Very good prequel to Batman. Can't wait for season 2

If you enjoy the Batman story, this is an interesting take on the history of Gotham before Bruce Wayne takes up the cowl. Fans of the show will enjoy the quality of this release with the inclusion of a digital copy for viewing on the go. Only thing missing is commentaries on key episodes.

the season is a little long and drawn out but its batman and pinguin and joker and alot of others its great

If you're expecting Batman he's not here. Well not exactly. Great series about Gotham before the Bat.
