CODE E0- won’t work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Opened it Christmas Day, it worked great for about 15 min and then gave us an error code “E0” and wouldn’t turn back on. Very little information about error codes on the website or in the information booklet that came with it, one very disappointed little girl with a non-working scooter on Christmas Day! Will be returning!

Stopped working after 5 months!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I bought this electric scooter at $329.99+ tax in Aug 2024 so my kiddo can ride it to school and fast fwd to today (Jan 2025) and it is no longer working! I am plssed! It turns off randomly and no longer a reliable mode of transportation. I'm a Total membership w/ BB and they cannot do anything as it is too big to "send off" so I had to file a mfg claim. I will update on that as it seems the mfg doesn't do anything about it according to reddit reviews.

Disappointing Product Out of the Box
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the scooter new out of the store but when opening the box, pieces were broken, damaged, and repainted. Reached out to customer service and they were no help. Definitely won't be buying anything from GoTrax again.

Read this before you buy
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased two scooters on 11/12/24 and the quality is not good for the price you pay. One of the two scooters no longer holds a charge for very long. The battery life does not hold for more than a mile and its suppose to go for 12 miles. The acceleration is slow and does not go full speed. I would not recommended purchasing this scooter.

defective
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.defective!!!! I had a hard time assembling the scooter. First of all it didn’t unlock from the bottom and second the break cable was too short. It was so frustration that I’m returning the item to the nearest Best Buy store and getting a scooter from a different brand.

Well, now I am a scooter guy......
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. How bad to the bone is this electric scooter? I will tell you! The GoTrax XR Advance is a great piece of travel equipment, especially in our little 1 square mile town. For the past week, I have been using the GoTrax XR daily around the town and hit places like the post office, corner store and even the ice cream parlor. Now, on to the review of the XR Advance from GoTrax. Upon opening the box, you will find your product folded in half with the handle bars disconnected. You will have to remove 2 screws that hold on the brake like bracket and remove the cap for shipment. Once the cap is removed, you can now simply install the handlebars and reinstall the screws, extras are included incase you lose your originals. Now, grab the power charger and plug it in the wall and wait until you see the green light on the outlet box. 2 hours later, I am fully charged up like the manufacturer wants and ready for the open road, or sidewalk. Helmet on, lets go! Right off the rip, you have to push off and hit 5 mph and then hit the throttle. The fun starts now, grab the gas with the easy thumb throttle and get up to 12 miles, which I have got almost 15 after the 3rd charge, and go a steady 15.5 mph if you please or as slow as 3.2 mph before it stops assisting. Turning the XR Advance is easy as can be, tight turns on a sidewalk are a breeze and can easily be done and safely at a good speed as well, the scooter tracks very well. The GoTrax XR also takes on small bumps and cracks very well for the smallish tires, sometimes with a little pull up on the handlebars, you can clear an easy 3 inch raised area but expect the rear tire to jolt you when it hits. Portability is by far the best thing about the XR, fold it up and throw it in the car, and this came in use as I was with my wife at a softball game for my daughter and my wife needed to go home, I had the scooter. So, off she went and I could ride the 1 mile home in about 3 minutes with stop signs. I am very impressed and we are already looking to add one or 2 more GoTrax scooters to the house since it is myself, wife and 4 daughters, I wonder if they have big family discounts, ha! Great Job GoTrax!!

A Joy Ride!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The GoTrax XR ADVANCE is an incredibly fun electric scooter. It has a powerful drive motor, a battery that will support about an hour of continuous use, and large pneumatic tires that absorb a lot of shock from uneven terrain. I weigh-in at the full 220 pound weight limit for this scooter and I found that it quickly accelerated to the full 10+ mph in first gear and to the full 15+ mph in second gear without hesitation. And at 10 mph, I was able to travel close to 10 miles without fully depleting the battery - a remarkable feat. Operation is practically silent (I have an older scooter that whines under my weight - rude!). It folds for easy carrying and storage and has a kickstand to keep it upright while stopped. I would describe it as being "heavier than it looks" but in a good way...meaning it feels very well built and practically impervious to damage. I only have two negative things to mention - things that I wish I had understood up front. (1) There is some assembly required - just attaching the handlebars to the support and attaching the brake cable. The assembly, in hindsight, is quite simple but the instructions were VERY poorly written and illustrated. So, a ten minute task took me about 45 minutes to figure out. And (2) The scooter functions are all controlled by a single button: on, off, headlight, units of speed display, and gear change. The user manual gave no indication of how to use the button to change gears and I spent a lot of time turning the headlight on and off before finally figuring out the system - a separate single-function gear change button would have been simpler to use. Both of these problems I would consider to be new user problems that have no meaning after a few initial rides. I never really pay any attention to kids riding scooters for fun or adults riding rental scooters downtown - nobody does. But I have noticed, as a 61 year old flying around my neighborhood on this scooter, that everyone I pass smiles and waves at me. I am the coolest guy in my zip code. Highest possible recommendation on this joy ride!

Defective Product and Terrible Customer Sevice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Scooter never charged. Reached out to gotrax for a replacement battery which was sent and now the scooter won’t accelerate. Can’t return because it’s out of the return window and gotrax won’t accept the return either. Horrible experience.

Solid scooter choice
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I feel like 220 would actually be able to go on this, at 300lb it can bring me up a decent incline which is impressive (at like 2 mph unless I reverse ski slope it but still, it doesn’t stall out so that is impressive), my wife who is about 140 can zip everywhere on it at top speed, so can my 50lb 8-year-old. So, all that to say I’m decently sure their 220lb number is accurate as a top weight, you might lose a mile or two and definitely some range, but it should still be usable. I love that the handbrake ‘brakes’ the rear tire, it is a much safer wheel to brake. There is no front tire brake. And the back tire cover is not designed to be a brake which my kid wasn’t a fan of, but he adapted quickly. I love how easy it is to collapse and set up. I also love that the charger is pretty standard and could easily be replaced if it was lost. The cruise control is only built for top speed from what I could figure out, basically you just hold the throttle all the way down for 5 seconds and it engages, it also disengages when the brake is engaged which is a nice safety feature. The range will vary depending on the hills and your weight. The tires are rubber, so the overall ride feels much better than solid wheels and it is easy to balance on the scooter. Scooters in general are a little bulky for a bus or train but this one is definitely less bulky than other ones so if storage and portability are high on the list this seems to balance range and portability well. With a 15.5 mph top speed this isn’t a speed demon but more than enough for between the mass transit to the office, or down to the school and my kid is thrilled with how fast it can move.

Great Starter Scooter
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first electric scooter or any mode of electric transportation and I have to say I love it. I’m 45 and right at the weight capacity and it goes full speed at 15.5 mph, which feels really fast on this! When I received the scooter there is some minor assembly required which was a little frustrating however it didn’t take more than 5-10 minutes and it’s ready to go. It states it must be fully charged before riding the first time but mine only needed about 30 minutes of charge before 100%. The first time I got on it I was shocked how fast it takes off. I just hopped on and hit full throttle and it almost threw me off but eventually I got the hang of it. The build quality seems very good with solid metal, plastic and good rubber air filled tires. The only complaint is the back fender seems a bit too flexible so if I were to step on it by accident it could break. There is a headlight and a beautiful display that shows your speed and battery level. I’ve rode it 5-6 miles now and it only shows down to 75%. I must note I ride with my kids on their electric bikes and they only go 8.5 mph so I’m running the scooter at half capacity. The ride is a little rough as the only suspension you have is the tires but as long as it is on a smooth road it’s fine. The wheels are a decent size but you still need to watch for cracks or bumps in the road or you’ll go over the handle bars. Overall I can’t wait for summer with this. It easily folds so you can throw it in the trunk and go anywhere. The scooter feels like it should cost more so it’s a great bargain.
