TLDR: Great semi-portable (tad heavy) scooter for quick commutes, or for buzzing around a community! Right off the bat, I'll make the caveat that I have not used other electric scooters, so take my review as that. I will say right away, wow, this thing is QUICK, and for some reason they say 15.5mph in the listing title, but the manual said a top speed of 18-20mph, and if the small speedo is correct, I've had this thing up to 18mph, and I weigh just under 200lbs, and I'm 6'3" (I feel like I'm a sail once I get moving, so maybe more air resistance also?)! So I wouldn't be surprised if it can hit 20mph. It folds well and feels incredibly sturdy, its also quite heavy, so if someone lived in an apartment complex up a few floors, lugging this thing up and down stairs could be quite cumbersome. Otherwise, it will fit in 99% of car trunks if need be, due to the folding ability. I was surprised to see that it has a headlight and brake light, the headlight doesn't seem bright enough to ride in a really dark area, but the brake light blinks when you grab the brakes and it should be very useful if someone is riding behind you. It seems to hold its charge within a few % of its listed 19mi, I'm guessing if you're just cruising non stop for that distance somehow, you'll probably get the max rating. For what it is, I could not find any faults with it, its fun, quick, and can get you where you need to go! (within reason obviously)

not worth the money when there are other better options 1st week of owning and only rode the scooter 3 times and the valve stem in the back tire is already broken and not an easy fix plus no help from gotrax support

Horrible manufacturer should do a better job. Had returned the first scooter because it kept deflating and the inner tube got disconnected. Second scooter same thing happen fresh from buying it

Gotrax has NO customer service. purchased 2 of their scooters and they will not pick up the phone, answer emails or even answer their reddit page. If you need parts you will need to scour the internet and figure it out because they will leave you hanging. I would not recommend buying this brand of scooter.

my 10 year son hit a bump and fell frame bent tooled it to a bike shop… can’t be fix warranty only was 6 months from the company.. I do have geek squad but they don’t cover scooters.. just trash now.. besides that pretty good for about 5 times he was able to ride

While I’m purchasing it shown me it’ll be 19miles but after that it getting maximum 6miles

I've had a Hover-1 scooter for a couple of years which I've enjoyed, and given the opportunity to test out this one, I thought I'd see how the GoTrax compares. Overall, I'm very pleasantly surprised! There are only a couple of minor issues when comparing the two, but I feel that the GoTrax is definitely the better option. Scooters are all of a virtually identical form factor at this point, so minor changes are where you'll really see the differences. Size, weight, speed, controls, all are virtually identical. Battery: The Hover-1 line has the battery connect to the neck of the scooter, while the GoTrax has it built in to the floor of the scooter. The GoTrax has a lower center of gravity because of this, and provides a more stable ride. The Hover-1 has a detachable battery so you can take just the battery inside to charge, but really, who is doing that and just leaving the scooter outside? Range is about the same on both. Tires: The Hover-1 wins in this category. The GoTrax uses a connection to fill the tires which is different from the standard tire pump, so an adapter is needed (which is provided, but might be easy to lose). The Hover-1 comes with a pump, while the GoTrax does not. Speed: Both are about the same, but I feel the GoTrax has an easier time reaching max speed (about 18mph on flat ground). Folding: This may seem a minor change, but the GoTrax is far superior in folding for storage. The Hover-1 keeps the front wheel on the ground, which makes it easier to roll around inside while folded, but actually makes it far more difficult to fold as the neck stays connected to the front wheel which then can easily pivot and lose balance until the handle-bar is locked to the back fender. The GoTrax has the neck/front tire in one piece, so the front tire lifts off the ground, and the flat bottom goes to the ground which holds the neck straight and the scooter rests without tipping. Price: The Hover-1 was $600, and the GoTrax is $400. All things considered, the GoTrax is by far the winner.

This is a very nice budget beginner type scooter. Great for adults and would work great for older children as well. Out of the box its very easy to assemble. The instructions are fairly clear, although I was a little confused attaching the brake cable. They tell you to squeeze the brake and attach the end of the cable, but they don’t say to release the handle before threading the cable through. Other than that, I was up and running on 10 minutes. Apart from the brake cable you just have to attach the data cable and then put in 6 screws to attach the handlebar to the stem. I am 6’2” and 215 pounds, so I am right about at the limit to the weight this thing can carry. I found the deck to have enough room for my feet (size 14 shoes)and the handlebars were tall enough that I didn’t feel like I was hunched over while riding. The display is very bright and clear, showing your mph. battery level, and distance traveled. Being almost at the wight limit for this, I was expecting it to bog down and have a hard time moving me, but I was wrong. On flat ground I was easily able to get up to sped with no problems. It even handled slight inclines like a champ. Going up a steeper hill, I definitely noticed a little slowdown, but that is to be expected. It does have a headlight on it and it does illuminate the road in front of you enough to ride at night, although I wouldn’t recommend riding it on dark roads at night just because its not very safe. There is no suspension on this scooter, so if you are on very bumpy terrain or off road, you will feel it. For most roads and sidewalks, it rode along just fine for me. This is billed as a commuter scooter, and I think for that purpose it would work great. Its easy to use, gets up to a good speed, and has good range. It even folds up for easy carrying once you get to your destination. So for its intended purpose, I give it 5 stars!

It gets about 4 miles and then dies. I bought it new. Go find a different scooter.
