    SMOOTH COMMUTING

The GoTrax Xr Pro Commuting electric Scooter is quite decent for a commuting electric scooter. The 18-20 mile range should be enough to cover most short to medium-distance commutes without worrying about running out of battery. I used the electric scooter to complete several quick errands around town over a three-day period without charging it. The scooter was fast and agile. I weigh about 180 lbs. The max weight on this scooter is 264 lbs. I rode this scooter effortlessly up the small hills around my neighborhood. The 350w motor is the force behind this power. I hit the top speed of 18 mph several times by using the 2nd gear feature on GoTrax Xr Pro. I activated the cruise control by pressing the right-hand throttle down for 8 seconds while riding the scooter. To deactivate it, I pushed the throttle again, or I pressed the brakes handle lightly. The scooter has a preinstalled battery sporting 36V and 10.4Ah. I rode the scooter for approximately 13 miles in total before charging it. I found the scooter had excellent shock-absorbing capabilities, comfortable handlebars, and excellent pneumatic tires. The headlight and taillight, and reflectors are sufficient when riding at night. The braking was smooth. It all culminated in a smooth riding experience. The scooter weighs about 35 lbs and folds and opens easily. The construction material used on this scooter is hard plastic, rubber, and metal. The sturdy construction will withstand daily use and occasional bumps. However, riding this scooter in inclement weather is not recommended. Exposure to water may damage the electronics, which would void your warranty. This XR Pro electric scooter is great for those who want to avoid public transportation and have a total daily commute to under 20 miles. It is relatively lightweight and can fold easily into a corner. Its braking system is safe enough to handle the rigors of unpredictable cyclists and motorists. It is easy to operate, even for first-time users, and simple enough to let your friends try it out.

The Xr Pro is a very nicely built commuting scooter, very sturdy. Out of the box, it was a snap to put together. The handle bar shaft snaps and locks snuggly in to place. The bar bolts in to place, and the brake slides into the brake very easily. It literally took me 5 minutes to have it ready to ride. The unit shipped with a depleted battery probably due to safety concerns. I charged it up, and took it for my first ride on a scooter in over 30 years!! (I'm 55) I was pleasantly surprised how stable and easy it was to maneuver. Even at full speed (15mph) I was not worried about falling. The oversized tires make for riding on ruff tar an rock road a breeze, and smooth as butter on blacktop and concrete. This is perfect for the big city person who doesn't want the trouble of a car or parking. Also great for the college kid to get around campus in. I was able to see a gap big enough near the front wheel and foot stand to put a cable lock through when you have to leave it out side. But should you want to take it in with you, It easily breaks down and can be carried. It is a little bulky, but not real difficult. The battery charge time is a few hours, but I can get by for a week of daily use before needing charged, The brake is in the rear only, and is a little touchy, so you need to get used to it. I also tested it during the night. The small headlight is surprisingly bright, more than enough to use at night safely. The brake light is bright as well. All in all this is a very nice scooter. I am more than happy with it, My kids are usually in line to ride it every time I take it out. Well worth the money. I would recommend this to family and friends.

This scooter impresses with its build, aesthetics, and speed, all of which are more than sufficient for my needs. Given the price, it's a great performer. My only minor concern is the occasionally strong braking, which can lead to a forward lunge. Transitioning from my last scooters, it's something I need to adapt to, but it doesn't dampen my overall happiness with this purchase

First time electric scooter owner here! The GoTrax-Xr Pro Commuting Electric Scooter is the first electric scooter that I've owned and the first one that I've used since my boys had a foot driven scooter in the 1980's! The GoTrax-XR Pro arrived upon my doorstep 4 days ago. The box was very heavy, however I managed to get it inside of our home without help from my husband. The unboxing was simple as the GoTrax-XR Pro was partially assembled. Included in the box were the scooter, console and handlebar, charging unit, allen wrench, tire gauge pipe, and 6 screws. First you will need to connect the brake wire to the handlebar. By far, this was the most difficult of all of the assembly. The difficulty is that you have to really, really stretch the wire to make it thread into the handlebar. After finally connecting the brakes, the handle bar slips in, then you will use 4 screws to secure the handle bar. I charged the scooter until full, put on a bike helment and elbow pads and took her for a spin around our downtown area. The ride was very smooth! After I was comfortable riding along with cars, I increased the speed just to see how fast this baby would go. My top speed was 25mph. The instructions state that the top speed is 18mph. Anyhow, this is a great commuter scooter. Perfect for a 62yo needing a one bag trip to the market!

OK let’s see where to start. I was in the market looking for a scooter I’ve been on Amazon. I’ve been on different website and gonna seem to find what I was looking for so I decided to give Best Buy a chance because I do have a Best Buy credit card so I came over here and, you know I did my research on all these scooters different scooters that they have and I came across the gotrax man. This scooter is a fun one everything about the scooter is accurate the speed, the weight, everything the tires everything feels good it felt like it. It’s a well built scooter so if anyone is out there looking for a scooter just to have fun with or commute it doesn’t matter. This is the scooter for you honestly me and my family we enjoy the scooter a lot. We was looking for something so we could all do as a family and we found it here at Best Buy or wherever you wanna buy it. If you don’t have access to a Best Buy, then you could also get an Amazon or even go on their website again guys this is a fun scooter bring a lot of entertainment fun to my family and I really appreciate this.

Electric scooters are great to use today, but the biggest issue I`ve discovered is what to do with the scooter once you`ve arrived at your destination. Coming from a Bird One scooter it was wonderful, but the inability to carry the scooter with me and simply "lock" the wheels always had me worried that someone was going to walk away with it. With the Xr Pro I can now quickly and easily fold it up and carry it when me when I get to my destination. The portability component is not the only area where this scooter excels as I will first go back to the unboxing as right out of the box the build quality is great and you can tell it is a soundly built scooter. The assembly was extremely quick and simple and I was up and running in less than 10 minutes. The other facet of this scooter being usability does not lack either. The range of nearly 20 miles does seem to be about accurate as I`ve ridden this around my college campus during the my first week of use so far and have not had to charge it yet. The top speed for me so far has been 18 mph so that appears to be as advertised as well along with the ride being extremely smooth. The small minute details are what stand out personally for me though as the display is great compared to many other scooters as it shows mph, mileage, current gear, battery status, and light status. The lights on this scooter are extremely bright as riding around at night has not proved to be an issue at all. Then I have to touch back on the portability aspect again as the one touch folding mechanism is perfect for portability. Overall, you really can`t go wrong with this electric scooter as the build quality, usability, and portability are all absolutely top notch! GoTrax has definitely put out an exceptional product here and I definitely look forward to any future products they release as well.

The GoTrax Xr PRO Electric Scooter is a folding commuter scooter. Now, don't be fooled, this scooter is really big. And it's pretty heavy, so you won't want to be carrying it around very far. But as a mode of transport between the train station and the office, it's great. To start with, you get the scooter, a valve to air up the tires (but no pump) and a charging brick. Open the waterproof plug and insert the charger. It takes about 6 hours to charge up the scooter fully, which offers a range of 18 miles and top speed of 18mph. It has IPX5 water resistance, so you can ride it in the rain, but you should dry it off at your destination. It has a 350W motor, which was able to power up the 7º incline of my driveway without issue, whereas our previous scooter (different brand) could not achieve that - so the motor is plenty powerful. Acceleration is brisk, it pulls you along (max weight performance is 264lbs) and doesn't falter until it hits the top speed of 18mph. I've tried powering past, going downhill and haven't seen more than the advertised 18mph. With that speed, you have to be able to stop, and that is where the challenge comes in, and the reason for losing the star. I have very little confidence in the brakes at this point. The brake cable was too short to mount per the instructions, it would not reach, no matter how many of us pulled on it to insert it into the mounting bracket. I finally worked out a way to get the brake cable in there and take it for a test ride. The brakes make all kinds of noise, sometimes as if they are permanently engaged, sometimes they squeak, sometimes they rub, sometimes they make no noise at all. One time they made a horrific sound as I was braking, which was very unnerving. I will have to look and see if there is any adjustments to be made to them, but at this time, I am not entrusting my life to these brakes, put it that way. You should be diligent when riding a scooter like this, but I will be taking extra precautions. I also feel like the folding mechanism leaves the handlebar a little loose at the base. There is some forward and backwards movement, which I didn't experience with my other scooter. The headlight is really bright (bear in mind you cannot turn on the scooter when it is plugged into the wall). It has a flashing brake light and a color display. A nice feature is that this scooter has a display of the amount of miles you've travelled on it, just like a vehicle. You have two power modes, an eco mode and a power mode. That unlocks the 18mph top speed. It also has cruise control, if you maintain a certain speed for 10 seconds, it will put itself into cruise control. You have 18 miles of range, which should be plenty of range to get from a station to your work, or for just having fun out with friends. Overall, this is a fun, folding scooter, it is fast, but bear in mind that it is heavy, and that there are potential challenges with the braking system.

The GoTrax Xr Pro Commuting Electric Scooter is so much fun to ride! Designed for short commutes, this is a solid scooter. It was relatively easy to do the little assembly required - after unfolding the scooter, I inserted the handlebars/console into the “tiller” and inserted the 6 screws with the included Allen wrench. The biggest problem I had was inserting the brake cable. You have to pull it through a channel and with all my might I tried, and I couldn’t get it through. I had to resort to asking for help while adjusting the screws at the disc brake to get some play in the cable. Here I will mention there are a LOT of issues with the included User Manuel - from numerous misspellings to conflicting information. The instructions to adjust the brake were written as the same for both tightening and loosening the brake cable; for console functions, it instructs you to press the “red” button but there is no red button, the button is dark gray. Finally finishing that, assembly was complete. I checked to make sure the scooter was locked in the upright position and checked the tire pressure. Yes, these are pneumatic tires - 8-1/2” tires, these should and do soften the ride you may be accustomed to with those rental scooters. Safety features: There is a 3 second hold on the power button to turn it on - that’s a smart thing. I don’t want to turn this on by accident and perhaps have this running away from me! This comes with built-in headlight and taillight, even flashing brake lights as well as 4 little reflectors. Turning it on, I saw the bright and clear digital display. The display will show you your MPH, odometer reading, if the headlights are on, battery level (shows up to 4 bars, not %), your gear selection and other indicators as used. There are 2 gears which will show in the display as P1 or P2, with P1 having a top speed of 15.5 mph, and they claim, P2 being able to increase the speed to 20mph. I did NOT test this as 20mph seems too fast for me personally. A full charge was needed prior to my ride, easily inserting the plug from the charging block into its port. After the 4 hour charge, with a quick push with one foot, and I was off! The thumb throttle took some getting used to for me. I have arthritis in my thumbs so this was not easy to use. Personally, I prefer the throttle on the right hand grip. After the earlier adjustment, the brakes work very well. Everything on the display was easy to see with a quick glance. This scooter is snappy! It doesn’t run out from under you with take-off, but after starting out on the ride, the scooter is quite responsive to a push of the throttle. I was quite fun zipping down the sidewalk… I don’t know when I will graduate to street riding. It will take a minute to get used to the short span of the handlebars - it seemed to make me a little jerky. The ride is more comfortable that on scooters I’ve ridden in the past. These tires are larger and also being pneumatic adds comfort and smoothes out the ride. I still feel bumps in the sidewalk, but nothing bad at all. It rides sturdy and solid and I feel like it is very well made. Nothing at all wobbles or feels loose. When I’m finished riding for the day, I simply turn the safety latch and pull the “folding mechanism” and lock it into place on the back fender with the well positioned hook, which can also serve as a hook for carrying small lightweight items, a bag, etc. I then roll it on the back wheel to where it will be stored until the next ride. They do say this weighs less than 32 pounds for easy carrying. Personally, I could not lift it but, that’s more about me than the scooter. I would definitely recommend the GoTrax Xr Pro Commuting Electric Scooter to anyone looking for a quick easy ride around town or through your neighborhood.

This is a great commuter scooter for around town, to and from the park, or even for when you drop off the car for routine maintenance and need a quick ride back home or to a nearby shopping center while you wait. It is compact and light enough when folded to store in the trunk and carry around without being super burdensome. Putting the GoTrax Xr PRO together was simple enough. The instructions were fairly clear, and all the necessary tools were provided. Within just a few minutes, I had the scooter up and charging the battery, getting ready to hit the road. The only hiccup I encountered was having to loosen the brake cable at the rear wheel and disc rotor to enable enough slack to run the cable into the handle brake. I allowed the battery to fully charge and while doing so examined my new ride while I waited. What I observed were features to impress for such a reasonably priced electric scooter. The build is nice and sturdy with a suitable height for any adult rider. I am about 5’10” and 220 lbs. and felt confident that this would be able to haul me around. The handlebars were a little short in length for my liking and I thought that would affect my stability. Also, the board is also a little narrow but has enough length for comfortability of foot placement. On the left front side of the board is a nice kickstand that is easy to extend with the foot and provides a stable footing to stand the scooter up when not folded and parked. The hand brake is on the left handle attached to a mechanical disc brake at the rear wheel. Also, on the handlebars is a small bell next to the digital display. The display provides real-time information about speed in either mph or kph, odometer, battery level, and gear selected. It is operated by a single push button that changes operations by number of pushes or length of presses. This button also powers up and shuts down scooter. The performance of this electric scooter is outstanding. Being of a heftier size I thought this scooter would struggle to carry me the distance, but it held its own and zipped me around with ease while the battery was at full charge. I was able to get up to the max speed of 18 mph in gear 2 and activated the included cruise control by holding the throttle lever on the right handle for 10 seconds. The scooter-maintained speed on flat solid terrain with the cruise activated but slowed when I encountered hills or grassy crossways. I was able to tackle different obstacles like bumpy crosswalks, grassy parks, and speed humps and tables with impressive ease. The pneumatic 8” tires held up nice and provided ample shock absorption. Climbing up higher-grade hills I did encounter some performance degrading and sometimes I felt that the scooter was struggling to carry my weight up some hills, especially when the battery level started to drop. There were sometimes where I felt it better to walk the scooter up a hill to conserve battery power to make it to my destination. This scooter also includes a few well thought out safety features such as a LED headlight, taillight that doubles as a flashing brake light when brake is applied, and side reflectors. I feel confident enough while riding in the dusk hours that I will be seen sufficiently to keep me safe. Overall, the GoTrax Xr PRO Commuting Electric Scooter is a fun and efficient commute companion. It’s definitely a worthy and reasonable product for anyone wanting to venture into electric scooting for school, park, downtown, or simply zipping around the neighborhood.

I have been enjoying using the GoTrax XR Pro scooter to get around the neighborhood and around town. It is fun to use, seems fairly durable, and most of all, has great front and rear lighting for visibility in the darker hours of the day. Getting the XR Pro set up was fairly simple, just a few steps after unboxing. The instructions could have been a bit clearer, especially the part about connecting the brake cable, but I was able to figure things out. I hadn’t used an electric scooter before, but using the XR Pro is very intuitive. I was up and running, controlling throttle and break, and switching between high and low speed modes, in just a few minutes. One feature that I just don’t really get is the cruise control. It’s complicated to activate since it requires maintaining the same exact speed for 8 seconds, which isn’t easy with varying the road surface and slight hills. As a result, the cruise control only kicks in when I’m not expecting it to. I’d prefer to be able to just disable it entirely, and probably wouldn’t miss it. The other thing that I’ll note is that while the XR Pro does fold easily, I had to adjust the hook to get it to catch securely, and the scooter would be rather awkward to try to carry onto a bus, train, or even elevator in the folded position. Finally, I’m still struggling to figure out the best approach to locking the XR Pro if I run in somewhere quickly and want to leave it outside. I have a high-security U-lock that I use for my bicycle, but there aren’t very many good parts of the XR Pro that seem secure enough to lock it around. For now, I’m using the U-lock and a cable lock around different parts of the scooter and only for quick stops where there is lots of daylight and foot traffic. The XR pro is fun and easy to use, and a convenient way to make shorter trips around town. There are some things I would have improved, but overall I’m pretty happy with it.

The GoTrax E-scooter is so much fun. First thing out of the box it took six screws to put it together (Took less than ten minutes), checked the tire pressure, then connected it to the charger and let it charge for approximately five hours. Once it was charged, it was ready to go. The fact that it has two speeds, plus a headlamp, and tail lamp make it to where you get to enjoy the scooter during all hours. So far the max speed is fifteen miles per hour, but when you're riding it for the first time fifteen miles per hour feels like you are flying down the road. I have ridden this through a rain storm (Not recommended, but what can you do where there is a torrential downpour when you're between destinations), I have ridden it up a slight incline and a decline. I am so impressed with this e-scooter that I have put over twenty-five miles on it in just a matter of days. The headlamp puts out plenty of light to be able to ride at night and the tail lamp makes it very visible for motorists to see you. I'm so happy with this e-scooter.
