Nice and bright, colorful and easy to set up. Be SURE to check each bulb to ensure that the dome is screwed on tight otherwise the might let water in when it rains. Once you do that they are pretty reliable. Works great with the app or Alexa.

I am enjoying these on my back patio. Govee makes it easy to setup. Connection to Google Home is very simple. In Govee app, I have picked my colors, design and set a timer. I can also ask Google to turn the lights on or off. The amount of choices for colors and designs is amazing. I find myself changing the automation every few weeks. I added a photo from October using one of the Halloween themes.

These lights were way brighter than we imagined. Paired with the app the scene functions are endless and customizable. They fit our gazebo (10x10) all the way around with plenty of room to be plugged in. You can also link more than one set together.

Do not buy this product if you intend to use it outdoors at all. The bulbs are not sealed and water from rain or other sources can enter through the holes made for the electrical cables. This causes the bulbs to fill with water when it rains, effectively immersing the circuitboard, which holds the LED in water. I now have to throw mine in the trash after less than six months of use all because of the summer rains.

Best Buy only gives you 14 days to return and Govee provides zero warranty, their only response is to go back to the retailer. I've exchanged them twice now and after 1 month of use, I'm left with 1 out of 3 I purchased working. I suspect all this moisture in them is causing them to fail.

Went with these smart outdoor lights to be festive during holidays and events. They didn’t even last a month after some rainfall. Do not purchase.

The Govee Wi-Fi Bluetooth Smart String Bulbs (48 feet) offer a vibrant and customizable lighting solution for outdoor spaces. Users can adjust colors, brightness, and lighting effects easily. The setup is straightforward. I have mine under a gazebo out of the rain, as there have been complaints of issues when wet.

Love these smart bulbs. We purchased to cover covered outdoor area around our hot tub, and they have not disappointed. We love being able to adjust the color and brightness to match the holiday, season, and even the mood. The ability to schedule smart timers has come in handy, allowing us to turn on at sunset and schedule the off time according to day of the week. We’ve been so impressed with how they’ve stood up and the easy in programming, that we are now looking into the permanent lighting for the soffits around the house.

These say outdoor use, which is true. Its not all weather outdoor use though. First rain took them out. Govee did replace both sets very quickly. The second sets I got I made sure to tighten the bulb covers and added silicone where the wire enters the housing. On every single bulb. Havent had a single issue with Washington heavy rain. Also make sure to cover the actual controller for the lights. I dont believe that piece has an ip rating.

These lights work great. Super easy to set up and the app is friendly. They been outside through three rainstorms with no water damage.

I bought these as a nice way to provide light for my patio, and they've done a nice job for the past year that I've had them. While the string is 48 feet, there's only 15 bulbs, so keep that in mind when comparing to other sets. The main way to control these is through the Govee app, though there is a button near the plug. The app is ok - many of the light modes are way to "energetic" for my liking (quick color changes, lots of blinking/flashing). You can create your own modes, but it's a bit of a pain to do so. Static patterns are easier and work well. One of my big frustrations is that there's a bright scene which is the brightest available, and the bulbs are normal bulb color (3000k?), but you can't access this bright color when doing custom patterns or bulbs, only that one scene. Also, as others have pointed out, water can and will get inside the bulbs. From reviews I knew this when I purchased them, so before I installed them I make sure each bulb casing was screwed on tightly - it didn't matter. First heavy rain and many had water trapped inside. At first I would empty them each time, then I stopped. They still get water inside, but haven't stopped functioning yet. For the price this is overall a nice set, though it doesn't hurt to see what other options are available.

These are nice lights, the situation I have with them is they do hang very well. I hung a small guage wire below my deck and these have a side clip to clip onto the wire I installed. Some hang upsides down, many are in varied directions, none just hand down. The Govve is more complex than it needs to be, but it does offer lots differan color schemes.

These lights are great if you are only using them at home or a location that has Wi-Fi. They were bright and colorful and worked great with the phone app

LOVE THESE! Have then on my back deck around the canopy. Change the color depending on what holiday it is. And when there is no holiday the white is nice as well

These Govee lights have been great. The lighting effects are awesome. We typically use the “Night” setting with a start and end timer that actually WORKS. We used to use the Wyze Outdoor Plug since we use Wyze pet cameras indoors and those worked fine, but their outdoor plug was abysmal and always lost internet connection(which meant we couldn’t turn them off or on without resetting the plug outside!). We’ve had these Govee lights for a while now and its just fun to be able to change these colors on each individual bulb so easily to make it your own. So far, they’re reliable, bright, and great bang for your buck! Only complaint I would have is maybe having more lights on the string, but honestly, thats probably what keeps them on the more affordable end and thats fine by me.

The lights are great quality and look amazing. I only gave four stars because I do find the app to be less user friendly than I’d hoped. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

These worked great for the couple months that we had them and then just quit on us, good thing i got the extra insurance on them, got new set but had to pay for insurance again on new unit. All in all i would recommend, things do happen.
