Intense and graphic display of the complexities and challenges of space. Fantastic and realistic special effects that make this an emotional roller coaster and an edge of your seat thriller. A detailed and accurate account of the unforgiving nature of space and the difficulty associated with space travel. Wish there had been more characters involved but was able to capture the anxiety and stress of complete desolation.

This is the first film for which I've read several epic reviews, got my hopes up, watched the movie and was still thoroughly impressed! This film is a non-stop roller coaster ride (coming from someone who never says that about a film) filled with incredible cinematography. precise sound editing and a captivating plot. If you're on the fence, get the 3D and make sure you have a capable sound system turned WAY UP!

Gravity is not only one of the best films of this century, but also the best film in terms of implementation of the 3D effect. It moves with rapid speed, yet allows you time to reflect on a surprisingly deep plot. What on the surface seems to be an implausible story about survival is so convincingly rendered that every part of this adventure feels real and alive. If you own a 3D TV, you should own this blu-ray.

Definitely the most realistic Sci- Fi film I've seen like I was on the Space station itself. Great direction and script with super natural acting by Bullock and Clooney. I had to keep myself from chewing the armrests at the theatre it was so tense and exciting. Top five best pictures this year even top three. Jake in North Carolina I grew up in Hollywood myself had a backstage view of film making. I loved it.

For thoes of you who are just watching this movie on just any TV, you are really missing out on the experience you can have if you have a home theater. Gravity will become the moviie you use to show off your home theater.The HD surround sound will fill your room. Its loud and you may want to turn it down, but for those who are watching in 3D, you can share the experience one gets when viewing it in a theater.

Having seen it 3 times (twice in IMAX 3D and once at home), I can verify that movie's visuals impress no matter where you watch it. Simple story, great acting, edge of your seat drama. That would be fine in any movie but this is a landmark film that shows you things on the screen you have not seen before. I would put it up there with Jurassic Park and The Matrix for advancing movie making technology. See it!

If you're a fan of Sci Fi you'll like this movie. The acting is first rate as is the cinematography. Unfortunately there in't much of a plot..... you spend most of the movie in angst wondering if the lone survivor is going to make it .......... then again........ I think that is the point of the flick (the edge of your seat angst/is she gonna make it). For those of you who don't know the ending, no spoiler here :-)

Originally saw this movie in 3D at a theater. The realism and special effects were superb. I was curious how well it would come across on a smaller (70") screen in 2D. The verdict: Still a great space movie, but definitely no where near as enveloping an experience as in a decent theater. Contrary to what you might think if you missed seeing this movie on a really big screen, it deserved every award it got.

Gravity was amazing to watch. I missed this in theatres but was just as pleased watching it at home. The visual experience was awesome and the special effect and acting were suppurb. This movie has all the bases covered and really connected you with the cast and what they were experiencing. I actually look forward to seeing this one over and over again. Not really a Bullock fan but she rocked in this one.

While it is not hard for anyone to figure out how the movie will play out, it still doesn't undermine the many great qualities of the film. Sandra Bullock is amazing, and George Clooney gives one of his best performances in quite a while. The visuals are also absolutely fantastic. Buying this film on DVD will not do it justice. Watching this movie on Blu-Ray on an Hi-Def TV is the only way to see it.

Gravity on blu-ray is great home theatre demo material. The Blu-ray transfer is flawless and the 3D is the best live action 3D movie on Blu so far. Audio is also flawless and makes great use of the surrounds and subwoofer. Too bad they cast Sandra Bullock as the main protagonist. Her performance is hammy and clawing. She makes her character so unsympathetic that I constantly found my self rooting against her.

Ms. Bullock proves that her awards for "The Blindside" were not given to her just for portraying a "sassy southern belle." This movie required her delving into the core of her soul to make us believe how it would feel to be totally separated from any possibility of survival yet still not giving in to the absolute panic this situation would give the majority of humanity. Great job from a great actor.

Looking for a movie to keep you on the edge of your seat? Look no further. If you missed out on seeing this movie in an IMAX theater then you definitely missed out...but this movie is still a great thriller at the home. Sandra and George are great as usual in the movie. The packaging for this movie was great, a step down from steelbook packaging, but still better than regular plastic casing.

I liked this movie a lot. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney gave solid performances but the real star of this movie is the director and his visual style. Neil Degrassi's criticism of the science aside this movie made me believe I was in near earth orbit trying to get to a Russian Soyuz capsule in nothing but an environmental suit to return to planet earth! What's NOT to love about that?

Gravity is riveting. From the first few scenes you can tell this is an intense story. I found myself glued to the screen watching Sandra Bullock's performance! She reaches new levels as an actor in this film! Alfonso Cuarón direction is amazing. The film is groundbreaking and stunning! You will not want to miss this if you're a fan of any type of space films from the past years. Nothing compares.

I really enjoy this movie. Saw it at the theater originally and liked it just as well on the TV screen. Acting wasn't always stellar and a few of those "don't do that you idiot" moments when you think the character knows better. But, I love the overall story, the setting, and really everything else. And I like having the 3D, Blu-ray, and digital copy that all came with the combo pack I purchased.

Movie is entertaiining. No aliens or predators but the story and Bullock is compelling enough to give the DVD a positive rating. Couple of scenes where they defy Newtonian physics and contradict the possibility of any US trained astronaut to show lack of resolve and bravery but that can be overlooked. The special effects were great as the movement of close to zero gravity was convincing

Ok, so seeing it in 3D IMAX theater was was way better than watching it on my 55" screen....however, it was still a great movie to watch in a home theater. Of all my 3D blu-rays, the 3D effects were superior on this movie than most. Even if you don't have 3D, the blu-ray quality is excellent, very stunning visual and FX. I didn't rate the special features because I have not watched them yet.

The movie for the most part takes place in space. There's a little backstory woven into the plot but for the most part it's about survival. Like Castaway, Gravity is about surviving extreme situations. The single camera shots are AMAZING however and this is the type of movie that makes you want an IMAX at home :) Cuaron should receive best director for this in almost every awards ceremony!

I loved Gravity for several reasons. The first of which, is that it is a fantastic representation of the environment in space. The CGI and the visuals are incredible. The story itself is great, and the character played by Sandra Bullock is a heroine that should inspire everyone. That is after all what I want from a movie: to be entertained, and to be inspired in my own life.
