Purchased mainly for its 3D effects which are outstanding feats of technology in film. The 2 main characters are contrasty. One, Clooney, an experienced astronaut and Bullock, more a ground scientist with no real business in space. Especially in space walks. It makes me twinge to hear her cries come off the screen ( Space itself cannot transmit sound ). Still, it's an acceptable premise because of her space helmet transmissions to Clooney or NASA. Otherwise her cries for help would fall on the deaf ears in outer space. It's a serious film of outer space exploits of brave astronauts and I duly applaud the effort to make us civilians appreciate those among us with the right stuff.

Sandra bullock and George Clooney. Won't go.wrong with this movie. A nice way to enjoy your weekend. Watch it in wide-screen and Dolby sound. Own it !

This movie looks like it was hard to make. Excellent! Sandra Bullock did a fantastic job and not many actors can pull off a one-person show and she did! Cinematography, visual effects, sound and the direction...FANTASTIC!! Great movie!!!!

Non-stop action in the sci-fi thriller. Don't let the reviews of factual errors fool you. Unless you've been to outer space you won't know the difference! Suspend your disbelief for an hour and a half and enjoy the movie for heavens sake.

This movie does start out a little slow, but once the action starts it is not stop. I highly recommend seeing it in 3D - makes you feel like you are in space. Bluray is still good, but doesn't give you that same feeling of being in space.

I really enjoyed this movie, even more so in 3D. Often times 3D movies don't seem to add anything to the original movie. However, they use 3D to put you in the movie, even making you feel nauseous with first person, inside the suit views.

There are a few inconsistencies in the story line and some things are hard to believe but hey, the movie is about space travel. The blu ray itself is well done with great picture and sound even though it does not include a 7.1 sound mix.

Overall ... good movie. The plot was a bit ambitious with multiple dooms day scenarios in space. However, since nobody gets to go to space, the movie is good at showing what it would be like to face gravity in all sorts of situations. rent it

This movie was very suspenseful and the footage was literally out of this world. This movie will be watched numerous time. It is better to watch in a completely dark room and no outside noise to get the full effect of the cinematography.

Cuaron first won me over with Children of Men. This film is more intimate and more powerful. Sandra Bullock is fantastic in her role. It is unlike anything you've ever seen before, and you will be on the edge of your seat the whole time.

I came into the movie with low expectations, but I must admit that over a month later I am still thinking about parts of the movie. This is one that I'm glad I didn't pass over, may not be for everyone but, I really enjoyed it.

I seen the movie in theaters when it came out and was good. I liked the movie. When it came out in 3d I said this movie would be really good.Best buy had it and I bought it.That night my husband and I watched it. Its much better in 3d

I truly regret not making the time to see this film in the theater. The camera work is absolutely stunning. The plotting of the story doesn't offer many major surprises, but the direction and performances help it rise above that limitation.

Gravity is a great 3D experience, even at home. After seeing this in theaters, I thought there's no way it could be just as good at home. Granted, my TV isn't as big as the one at the theater, but the movie still looks just as amazing.

Movie was great especially if you have a home theater setup. The cinematography was excellent the shots of space were so lifelike Sandra Bullock and George Clooney did a great job acting in the film was at the edge of my seat at times.

Well made. Story-line is great as well. One of Sandra Bullocks best movies made in her career. She is a genuine actor because she actually becomes the role. I am going to watch it in 3-D today once I purchase my Smart TV from best buy.

Saw the movie when it came out in 3D and had to have the 3D version at home, and it looked spectacular on my Sony 3d, sound was great also even though it is not 7.1. The movie at times is somewhat predictable but enjoyed watching it again

Absolutely one of my favorite movies of recent times. The action is constant and the final descent to earth sequence is spellbinding. I tell everyone to rent or buy this film.

Gravity is a very good movie, when it starts it is like you have an anticipation that it will be slow, but it draws you in quickly. You quickly get absorbed in the action, you literally feel the fear of impending death, is there a way home!

This visually stunning film packs lots of emotion in a short running time.It is a race against time story bascially so there is little lag in the story or film's action.The visuals and sound holds up well outside of seeing it in theaters .
