The film is amazing. A true must see. I'm not a fan of Bullock, so that was my only real gripe.

Plot was thin and not enough variation in activity--all the time was spent in one area of space! I got bored with it after 20 minutes! It was not my favorite movie and I don't believe it deserved such a high rating. Many other movies held my attention better than this one.

I really expected more from an Oscar-nominated movie. Sci-fi is my favorite genre, and I loved the Space Odyssey movies - as long and drawn out as they are. Gravity just didn't seem to have anything to it as far as plot. I love Sandra Bullock, but I felt nothing for her character. There just wasn't enough background on her. I found it hard to root for her. Also, some of the scenes made me dizzy, and gave me a headache. I just wasn't impressed. My parents, also, didn't like it, but two of my friends really did, BECAUSE it reminded them of the Space Odyssey movies. So, maybe I'll watch it again one of these days to see if it's any better the second time around (some movies are). In the meantime, I would recommend renting this movie before buying it.
