Mahershala Ali is wonderful in this movie. His performance is very good. I liked the movie.

Reading the description would not have sold me on this movie, it actually sounded very boring. But after reading the reviews on IMDb (8.2) and Rotten Tomatoes (78%), this rated far better than most movies. So I thought I would take a chance since it was on sale. Watching their relationship grow throughout the trip and how each changed the other really makes this a great movie. Even better as this is a true story that was only supposed to be told after the death of "Doc".

I highly recommend this movie in fact I’ve passed it around to my whole family & they all watched it with their kids my Mom LOVED it also, even my friends!!! A wonderful story about a African man & Italian man who at first seem awkward & then like magic it seems they become best of friends!! It’s the old saying don’t judge a book by its cover, there are so many layers to a person & they really get to know each other in that way, also it’s the time they live in.

Based on a true story. Both inspirational and educational. The acting was exceptional.
