Overall a great movie. No matter how cheesy a comic book character may be when it comes to life in a film, it's always a interesting. As for the Green Lantern, I really liked it. For a person that is not a avid geeky comic book reader, I still love to see them come to life. Green Lantern was definitely one of those moments.

Had to get this movie because it holds a special place in my heart and steelbook are always neat

A nice movie to watch with family. Good story and nice acting.

I actually saw this in the theater and thought it was okay. Would only given it the mildest recommendation. But this review is for the 3d bluray. First, I should say, I LOVE 3d. I just do. It works for me (and I have FAR from perfect eyes). For better or worse, the story sticks pretty close to the comic series (at least compared to some others, cough*X-Men*cough. Reynolds is charming as ever and the special effects are pretty good. The extras are 'okay', deleted scenes, comic book, cartoon preview, some 'behind the scenes'. I should have prefaced my review with the fact that I cought this (from Best Buy) on sale for very little. Don't want to say to deter future buyers. But that is a factor. It just is. I'm kinder since I got a great deal. Just wish the movie heart or creativity of the other Marvel series. It just sits there. Being okay.

I liked the movie ever if a lot of people did not.

I enjoyed this for the super hero value. I proudly put it in with my watch again DVDs. The plot was not genius, but it kept my interest throughout. I am a bit old school, so I enjoy a clean film over a modern shock-effect version so crude language, needs not be there. after the first half hour, the few innuendos subside and the special effects carry it through to the end nicely. If you want any spoiler alerts, sorry, you'll have to buy, or rent it. If you like the Iron man series, , Fantastic 4, and so on, and like bang, boom, crash. then this will do you just fine.

The Green Lantern was a really good movie. Really nice looking in full 1080p on bluray, and they did a good job making it feel new and different from the comics, but still keeping some corny dialogue. Reynolds did a great job with balancing the silly and seriousness of the character, and i t was nice to see DC poking fun at themselves as well. If you haven't seen this movie and like superhero films I recommend watching this one.

Like I said really good to find a movie from when I was a kid I remember watching this movie brought back lots of memories looked at them love it now! Really good to find the old movie in DVD quality digital upgrade Best Buy always has really good prices on DVD movies I will be buying more soon did not know Best Buy had movies like this! Thanks

Campy fun, and the effects, while sometimes done just to play up the 3-d aspect, weren't awful. For a set up movie, great, although I don't see people clamoring for a sequel. Hopefully they go a different route for the supposed Justice League movie.

I enjoy this movie. I don't consider it one of the best super hero films, but it is fun to watch. I like that they put a little humor into the story. I don't like the ones that try too hard to be serious all the way through.

Although it's not a sit on the edge of your seat wow. It's a better picture quality and experience than the non-3D version. The 3D is apparent but I still haven't seen anything as good as Avatar in 3D.

I don't know why this movie gets a bit of hate. I found it quite enjoyable and different. I like Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern. Give it a try.

If you are a super hero movie this one is a must watch, because it fills you in as one of the characters of the comics and it creates a good plot for other movies within the same genre

My 6 year old son loves super hero movies. He can watch this movie again and again. After the third showing, I don"t want to run screaming from the room so it's not too bad of a movie.

Though not the best super hero movie of all time I still like the sarcasm and quirkiness layered throughout the action and adequate plot of the movie. I'd spend money to see a sequel.

Fun and worth the cost of admission...Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are easy to watch and the Blu-Ray edition plays well on the 1080p screen as well as the surround system.

This movie gets a bad rap. Honestly, for a super hero movie, is pretty cool. Great graphics and fun dialogue. Love Ryan Reynolds and throughly enjoyed this movie.

While this movie was never one to garner positive recognition, this movie is still worth it to add to a collection of SteelBook movies.

The movie is good, but not memorable. The CGI for anything green being brought out of thin are was nice. The humor is good, but some of the acting not so much.
