Hands down a masterpiece of action cinema. This movie is a piece of Art. Truly unique in its genre. EASILY one of the most life changing pieces the 17th century has to offer, this definitely has its own place in HISTORY. It will certainly continue to impress for centuries to come.

If I'm rating just the 3D blu ray Green Lantern, it wins the best 3D Blu Ray released this year that I've seen. The only 3D Blu Ray done better imo is Avatar, which was filmed specifically for 3D. Thor was a close second with the Asgard scenes being awesome, but Green Lantern takes the cake. I haven't fully seen the special features on Captain America, Thor, or X-Men blu rays to compare, but the "Maximum mode: Green Lantern's Light" version waaaay surpasses the normal commentary tracks for other movies. The other extra featurettes are also really cool and give a lot of insight into the making of the movie. Just by looking at the amount of content, there seems to be much more extra features on this Blu Ray than the other super hero movies this year. As for the movie itself, it is a tie for me with X-Men First Class as the best superhero movie of the year. This movie was the most anticipated movie of the year, therefore, it was the most unfairly treated by critics. Those who dislike this movie or leave a negative review most likely saw the first trailer and jumped on the bandwagon deciding before the movie was released it wasn't good, or just had too lofty expectations for any movie to meet. Sure, there was room for improvement, but no more so than all the other comic book adaptations this Summer. There hasn't been a more comic accurate origin story since Superman. It's like the comic walked straight off the page. The acting, including voice acting, was excellent, especially Geoffry Rush, Ryan Reynolds, and Mark Strong. The story was somewhat short and sweet, though cliche for many comic heroes: origin>> learning curve>> saves the Universe. While I was completely happy with the final product, if I could have changed anything about the movie, I would have given about 20-30 more minutes to the "learning curve" phase, and maybe another 5 minutes to the final battle. The speciall effects were breathtaking, and I don't think I've seen a movie to date with as visually stunning effects. Avatar and Tron are the only two that are in the same league. The only real weak spot to this movie was the fact that the script could have really been worked on or tweaked better, and better editing really could have improved the final product. All that being said, I encourage everyone not to be influenced away from this movie from any negative reviews and see it to judge for yourself. This movie may not be for everyone. Heck, some people just don't enjoy Star Wars, others can't get into Lord of the Rings, even though both of those series' are up there with the greatest of all time. However, I can say with confidence, though, that if you like Star Wars and Superhero movies, and if you go in with an open mind an imagination, you will enjoy this movie.

I love this show. I love 3d when there is a lot of action.

I believe that this movie doesn't catch much speed to the more famous movies of Batman and Superman as it just is not as popular as those action heroes. The story was understandable and followable but I feel that it might have been to mythical and something that cannot be grabbed if it were real life. Underrated though for sure, not knowing anything about the Green Lantern, I came away from watching the movie liking the live action and somewhat curious to view a comic or two.

Grew up (late 50" & early 60's) reading all the numerous DC Comics, and fancying myself as one of the heroes. This held pretty close to the original storyline (except for the color "yellow's" ability to overcome Green Lantern's powers). From memory, could still recite, in rote, Green Lantern's chant to power-up the ring. If you're from my generation, this was a nice way to return to your childhood.

My whole family is a fan of this movie. I had really never seen the entire movie but when they told me I would like it even though it was another hero adventure story they were right. It kept my interest to the end and was a really good experience. And I think you will enjoy it too. Also I got it on Bluray and at a great price at Best Buy. You won't go wrong with this one.

I see a lot of reviews for this movie that are negative, but as a super hero fan I found this movie really well done. I really liked it, personally, and would recommend it to others who are super hero or comic book fans. With one caveat: I don't believe Blake Lively as Carol Ferris. Needed someone else for that role.

Oh, hey there. Didn't see you. I was watching my brand new steelbook of green lantern. No, I wasn't staring at the case, but could you blame me if I was? Look at that thing. All green and awesome looking. If you love the green lantern and didn't hate the movie, this is a fantastic deal.

I was thinking that the 3D graphics would be more detailed. A 3D movie at the theatres showed bigger graphics than the Greenlantern. Maybe because it's the quality of the movie. I guess I'm just going to have to purchase another 3D movie to confirm my assumptions. Other than that it's a good movie.

Why does everyone including the star of the movie hate it? It told the origin of Hal Jordan into Green Lantern. Maybe the suit could have been a little better but Mr Reynolds I thought you did a great job bring the character to screen.

Bought these after sales associate recommended them. Can be used with any game system, cell phone or pc. Only problem I had was getting to work on my computer. Awaiting assistance from Logitech tech support

Ryan Reynolds plays Ryan Reynolds in a cgi Green Lantern suit. People did some things in about 3 rooms of the same building and 2 backyards. A lot of talking and some space people were involved.

Fun movie, but little more comedy than I wanted to see. Just got it for the steel book. If they make a part two, hope it is a lot better.

Wow... this movie exceeded our expectations!! It's a great adventure film, and a good family show. It was a fun watch for this genre. The costumes, make-up and special effects are very cool. Highly recommended!!!

Saw this movie in theaters and decided it was one we wanted to own. It is good if you like the super hero story lines. It was inexpensive, so we decided to get it. Best Buy had the best price!
