Being a fan of the comics (mainly Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner...not so much Guy Gardner or Jon Stewart) I already owned the movie on Blu Ray, but Best Buy had the 3D version on sale and I couldn't pass it up. It's a fun comic book movie. Don't go into it expecting something like Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy because that's not really GL's style (with the exception of the Hard Traveling Heroes story arc.) Speaking of that, I'd love to see a Green Arrow/Green Lantern movie.

This movie did not do good at the box office at all, but I enjoyed it and watching it in 3D on my 55" shutter glass 3D plasma was even better than at the theatre. I grew up reading comics and sure they deviated a lot from the comics, but I didn't mind the liberties they took at all...after all it's a movie, not a comic. It was entertaining enough for me to waste 2 hrs of my life:)

The movie was pretty good but I don't understand the ultraviolet haters. Simply download the flixter app and stream the movie. That's more than I can say for Thor. That movie is iTunes compatible, but you have to store it locally. I've about maxed out this iPad as it is. If anything keeps you from buying this movie, don't let it be the ultraviolet feature.

I'm not sure why this movie received such bad reviews? The movie itself isn't bad. At times the action slows down but the visuals more than make up for that. If you can get this one on sale it's not a bad title to add to your bluray collection.

My son and I enjoy this movie, I dont know why people hated on it so much. It is a good backstory and if they decide to continue the series the next movie should be awesome. Video looks great in Hi def.

Actually, the story that this movie was based on is a great one. Taken from the "Green Lantern: Secret Origins" comic book series, this movie had a lot of potential. The problems? They tried telling too much all at once. They brought in Parallax WAY too early. Parallax is to be Hal's biggest downfall, not his greatest triumph. And Parallax was not introduced till decades into the Green Lantern story. The casting could of been better. Blake Lively as Carol Ferris? Bad choice. Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan? Had he not acted a lot like Ryan Reynolds...? I might of bought it. All in all, it's a movie with good action sequences and great visual effects worth watching once. But this movie does not have replay value.

Though other directorshave taken Comic book movies other directions this is still a great movie I have enjyed it 3 times in the theatres and will enjoy it on Blu ray hoping the extended version is more than 2 or 3 minutes longer

I had low expectations for this movie. I had heard lots of people say it wasn't very good. I think for that reason I was still able to enjoy the movie. Ryan Reynolds is not the best Hal Jordan, but overall I still enjoyed it.

Ryan Reynolds was pretty great as Hal Jordan. Wish they had spent more time on his training, and got rid of that weird glowy feel, but it was definitely underrated.

Love the movie. Dislike the Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy combo. You have to have Flixster to view Digital Copy. The means you have to have a Wi-Fi connection or 3G connection to view the movie. So if you're in a car trip with the family, you can't view the movie if you don't have a Hot-spot or 3G service. Even if you have a 3G service, those minutes are going to be eat up with the streaming through Flixster. So I recommend that you just buy the DVD or Blu-Ray and if you really need that copy on iPad or iPhone, just purchase through iTunes.

Movie starts out slow, but to its credit, it has to build up its storyline. Rest of the movie is moving, action packed and has a great meaning.

I usually enjoy the super hero movies, but this one will sit on the shelf with other probably never watched again movies. I purchased the movie as it was on sale and was 3D. The effects are "ok" but won't overly thrill you. The plot is bland at best. Even watching with a Green Lantern Fan, the overall impression was "it's ok" Don't feel it is worth the extra expense to have the 3D version. Wait for it to come on cable...

I enjoyed the movie when I saw it in the theatre so when I saw the great sale price of $12.99 it was a must to add to my DVD collection.

This was a good movie that the kids and I would watch occasionally. Now in 3D I find us choosing this movie more often.

The picture and sound quality on this Blu-ray Disc was superb. I would recommend this movie to a friend.
