Posted .Hello MichaelM. Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to her the hose blew. The hoses often fail when exposed to extreme heat, cold, or moisture. High temperatures can cause the hose's rubber to harden and crack; and as temperature increases, pressure ratings decrease. We suggest ensuring hoses are stored in a cool, dry and dust-free location. Avoid direct sunlight and/or UV radiation and make sure that hoses do not come into contact with substances that can cause damage.

I had a gas operated pressure washer for years and battled the small engine issues. I have only used this a couple of times so I am unsure of the durability. I am happy with it so far.
