These parts can sometimes crack when the pump was not properly winterizing and the water froze, expanded, and damaged a piece of the brass. We would recommend contacting Greenworks at 1-888-909-6757 for a proper evaluation. This is not a difficult part to replace. So, it should be a fairly smooth process. Your Greenworks pressure comes standard with a X-year (homeowner) Greenworks limited warranty.

Also, after my first use it was extremely difficult to remove my garden hose from the port where it attaches.

The higher the PSI on a pressure washer, the more PSI you will receive and water volume — in gallons per minute (GPM). A pressure washer rated with a higher PSI and GPM cleans better and faster but often costs more than lower-rated units but depending on your workload, it may be necessary. Big mistake, when I tried to use it, the electrical plug is unreliable. It works on and off but frequently shorts out. Completely uselsess and now I’m stuck with it.

Posted .Hello Mike. We are sorry to hear about this issue. Often, this would be caused by a faulty nozzle, or the unit not being bled of excess air in the line. Here is some troubleshooting below! Be sure to try all steps as described.
1) Clean the nozzles, soak all your nozzles in a half and half mixture of warm water and white vinegar. Soak all the nozzles for about an hour and then proceed to poke your nozzle cleaning tool or paper clip through the end of the nozzle hole to poke out any debris. After you have done this, rinse them with warm water. Your nozzles will now be free of any obstructions causing the unit to malfunction.
2) Purge any excess air from the pump. Set up the unit as usual and ensure you are not using an extension cord. Remove any nozzle that may be connected at the end of the wand. Make sure that you have a green light on the GFCI on the power cord. Turn your garden hose on but leave the pressure washer turned OFF. With the pressure washer turned off, squeeze on the trigger for about 3 minutes – allowing the water to run through the unit at no pressure. In doing so, you are bleeding the unit out of any air that may be stuck in the pump. After 3 minutes, turn the unit on. If it is running, reinstall one of your clean nozzles and continue using the unit.
3) Ensure that the water source is fully opened and is at least 45 PSI.
4) Be sure to try ALL nozzles!

However, after approximately five hours of cumulative use, comprising of five separate one-hour sessions, it began exhibiting excessive noise and a noticeable electrical odor. Poor quality on this item and will need to be replaced.

No matter how powerful your pressure washer might be, it is never a good idea to leave your machine running for too long because doing so will increase the risk that it will overheat. A pressure washer's motor can overheat from prolonged usage or even just being in the sun. Ambient atmospheric temperature is a much bigger factor in unit overheating / running hot. Store the unit cold, keep in the shade when possible, during use. This will help maximize runtime before overheating in hot environments. A good guide would be 15-minute break for every 45 minutes of use.
