It actually blew me away...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an electric blower that I've used for several years. It's pretty heavy, doesn't really blow that hard and obviously have to deal with a long extension cord. So when I got this battery powered blower, I have to say I wasn't expecting a whole lot. It had good reviews, but I didn't realize how well it worked until I tried it. It's super simple to use. You just snap on the blower tube (and the extension if you want), stick the battery in and pull the trigger. So our 8lbs dog was standing a good 10-15 feet away and I decided I'd play with her by blowing some air at her. I obviously wanted to be careful so I only slightly pulled the trigger. Well she looked like she was about to get blown across the living room. (She loved it though!) So this thing is way more powerful than I expected. Again, a slight pull of the trigger looked like it was equivalent to when your dog has their head out the window going 60 mph down the road. It is rated at 170mph max and I'm sure it reaches that. A full pull of the trigger and you can blow away even wet leaves and grass. And if you have a really tough situation and are daring enough, it has the "turbo" mode you can use, but hold on tight. It's powerful enough for blowing sticks, small rocks, etc. Using the turbo mode will deplete the battery faster, but I don't see many situations where you would need it for what this is meant for. If your trying to do commercial landscaping work, this isn't what you want - it's not meant for that. But if you have leaves, grass clippings, etc. whether their wet or dry, this will get the job done easily. Battery life is going to very use-based dependent. I was able to clean up leaves and grass (dry) on my quarter acre sized lot and had 2 bars left on the battery meter. It took me about 25 minutes to do the whole thing, but I wasn't running the blower continuously for that time and not at full pull of the trigger. The manufacturer states 60 minutes of run time on low, and from my usage I believe that to be accurate. Obviously if your running it continuously on high or turbo that will run the battery down considerably faster. But if that is your going to be your typical use case, just get an extra battery to keep as a backup. You'll still be at or below what you'd spend on a good gas powered blower. Either that or take a break and stick the battery on the charger. It takes about 20 minutes to get about halfway charged. As far as weight, is has a little heft to it due to the battery, but it's lighter than the electric blower I have and certainly lighter than gas powered. So it's easy enough to handle and use. The best things about it are the power and the convenience. You just take the battery off the charger, stick it in and your ready to go. No dealing with long extension cords or making sure you have gas, etc. and you don't have to deal with the maintenance that you do with gas powered. On top of that you get a 4 year warranty on the blower AND the battery. Plus the battery can be used in their other lineup of products as well. So if you're looking for a quick easy way to clean up after mowing or clean up leaves, etc. around the yard I highly recommend this blower.

Posted .Hello Nani - Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this blower. To extend your run time, try using the blower setting on a lower speed when high speed is not a requirement, as blowers are considered a high-power draw application which means they do tend to drain the battery quite rapidly in comparison to some other tools. Alternatively additional batteries can be purchased to extend the run time. This unit is compatible with Greenworks 80V batteries. It is worth noting, the higher the ampere-hour (AH) rating is, the longer the run time will be. Posted .Hello Customer - Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with the battery. Here are a few troubleshooting suggestions to check out. 1) When the battery is inserted, the light should begin flashing green to indicate the battery is charging. If this light is not igniting or is flashing red, this may indicate an issue and we would be interested in hearing more about this. If the light simply goes solid red, try removing the battery and unplugging the charger for about 10 minutes and place them both indoors in a room temperature setting, as this might indicate the battery is at the incorrect temperature to be charged. 2) Ensure that the battery has been fully inserted into the charger. Sometimes this requires a firm push into place to make sure that it has been properly seated. 3) Try resetting the charger. To do this, simply unplug it for approximately 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try reinserting the battery. If the charger has been plugged in for extended periods of time, this can sometimes cause the charger to malfunction. Should you continue to experience a problem with the battery and charger, please contact us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the battery and charger so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

Greenworks 80v blower
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the blower so much, I sold my gas blowers. More power, more convenient. Before, my wife would not use the gas tools because they were always fickle to start, noisy and smelly. Now she’s always reaching for my greenworks tools. Easier for me! I now have the trimmer and the 18” chainsaw in addition to this blower. I purchased the battery with the tool. It’s cheaper that way to have extras. Now I have three batteries to rotate with according to which tool I use at the time. It’s a no brainer Thanks greenworks for making my life easier i

Must have for lawn season
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spring season is upon us and at least where I live that means its time to start doing yard work. An essential part of yard work is having a good blower to clean up your mess. Granted there are many other uses for a blower such as cleaning up fireworks or drying your vehicle but having a good blower is essential for anyone with a home. Not long ago, if you wanted a good blower you would have to buy a gas one. They required maintenance, gas and many other headaches. Not to mention they can be loud. Electric blowers have become so good that gas blowers for most use cases are a thing of the past. The greenworks blower is one of the better ones for sure. This blower is not small or compact by any means but comparatively to gas blowers it Is fairly light a smaller foot print. This blower comes with an 80V 2.5AH battery. This is a pretty large battery and gives the blower a lot of power. If you are looking for other products from this company the battery is compatible with many other things. It comes with a charger that offers a fast charge so that you can get back to blowing If you run out of charge. That should not be a problem for anyone with even a decently large yard because it is rated to last an hour on low settings. I have an average size yard and was able to use it multiple times without having to recharge. I was surprised by the amount of power it was able to output. Greenworks states it is rated at over 170 mph output of airflow. Although I am not sure the actual air rate, I can guarantee is plenty to do any job you put it up to whether its blowing leaves, grass, or any other debris. There is a trigger that can control how hard it blows and a button that can be used to lock the trigger in place. For the most difficult tasks it has a button on the top that can be pressed for an extreme amount of air. If you have other greenworks products this blower makes a lot of sense because of the interchangeable batteries. If you are someone looking for a blower and not sure what to get, then this one is going to be powerful, durable, and reliable. I would highly recommend this blower to anyone who does their own yard work because it makes cleanup so much easier. This comes with everything necessary to get started.

Easy yard cleanup, powerful, great battery life
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used a gas powered blower for years and eventually had to give it up due to the back problems it caused. It was one of those backpack style numbers. Switched to a battery powered model and had to return it because it just wasn't there yet. Been using a corded electric ever since. Terribly inconvenient. Was excited to give this one a try and I couldn't be happier with it. Greenworks has a great reputation and it's easy to see why. Compared to the other blowers I've used this thing is lightweight and powerful. I was really impressed with the amount of power this thing can put out with a relatively small battery. Our home sits on just slightly less than 1 acre and the blower was easily able to complete my spring cleanup on a single charge. Wet and clumped leaves were no problem. To my surprise I was even able to use it to collect the smaller branches from the tree in our front yard. For clarity these aren't heavy woody branches, they're more vinelike and flexible, it's some kind of birch tree I don't know ... I'm not an arborist. The point is that picking up the branches from that tree every year after months of winter storms is a pain. Literally, it's a pain in the back, repeatedly bending over to pick up the dozens and dozens of fallen branches. This blower made a chore that I dread super easy. I don't really have any complaints, but I kind of wish these batteries had wider compatibility outside the greenworks ecosystem. That's not on greenworks though, I just regret having so many tools made by another manufacturer. Based on the quality of this though I think I might grab a greenworks trimmer later in the year. It's nice to have extra batteries laying around. Overall, 10/10 would recommend for anyone in the market for an electric blower. If you have a really massive yard or are trying to move particularly stubborn yard waste you're going to want to grab at least one extra battery. Charging seems pretty quick so far, so overall very convenient.

This is truly a 5 star product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The power of this 80 volt blower is better than any handheld or backpack gas blower I've used. The battery runs about 30 minutes on std power. It is a bit heavy although greenworks has reduced the size and weight of the battery over the last year or so. HIGHLY recommend this product!

No more cords and more powerful too!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use a leaf blower year round, and the switch to a battery operated one versus corded was better than expected. There was no loss of power, and an increase in features. This unit has a variable trigger and a cruise control lever where you can adjust the speed and not have to hold down the trigger. There's also a boost function for extra power and the blower tube has an end attachment to narrow the air stream for greater control. There's also a built in clip if you like using a shoulder strap, but that is not included. The stated run time is about 30 minutes on high, and running it until it stopped the quick charger took about 30 minutes to reach a full charge. I have endless uses for a blower such as this including clearing light amounts of snow off the steps and drive, blowing spiderwebs off the house and eves, cleaning out computer cooling syncs, blowing out dryer vents and cold air returns in my HVAC system (with a shop vac turned on at the other end) and of course blowing leaves and yard waste! The unit isn't heavy and is very well balanced and easy to control. And of course the 80 volt battery can be used in at least 50 other Greenworks' products. And of course since it's powered by a battery, there's no cumbersome extension cords, gas or other maintenance concerns! The brushless electric motor is maintenance free and the unit has a 4 year limited warranty.

Top notch battery powered yard waste blower.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this battery powered blower. The 80 volt battery provides plenty of runtime and then some on a single charge. The blower is lightweight and overly powerful for anything I've used it for, from blowing grass & leaves to finish drying my vehicles after washing. This Greenworks 80 volt battery blower is a powerhouse, so simple to use with it's squeeze the trigger and go function. No on off switch, just squeeze and go. Battery power is so much more convenient then mixed gas. No yanking and pulling or any need to choke on the 1st start. This is my 2nd battery powered blower and by far the best I've used. The large battery is good for 3 to 4 uses before I need to recharge the battery, which charges in a hour to full charge. I highly recommend this blower to anyone on the fence on battery powered lawn equipment. It works every single time, and is so easy to use, along with it's lighter weight. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better option in the same price point. Only negative about battery power is the replacement or extra batteries are pricey, but always nice to have a spare when needed.

I would buy it over a plug-in or gasoline any day
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first battery-powered landscaping tool that I have used. Previously, I owned and used a plug-in electrical blower. It was a competitor brand. That model’s stated CFM is 340 and the the Greenworks is over twice that number at 730 CFM. However, I feel the other brand was more powerful but not by much. The Greenworks does have a turbo button that allows to reach about the same blower speed but I’m sure that would drain the battery exponentially. I was able to use the Greenworks to clean up my artificial turf backyard going between turbo and non-turbo. It took me about 30 minutes to clean up and I still had a battery juice left. The area is about 50’ x 30’. It’s pretty capable without the turbo feature being depressed, especially if you’re dealing with larger leafs and debris. I have to use the turbo often due to the small oak tree leaves getting stuck in the artificial turf. The build quality feels good in comparison to others on the market at this price range. It's 100% plastic from what I can see but it has a solid feel to it. It’s way lighter and more comfortable to hold for long periods without fatiguing. You can control the speed of the blower by how deep you depress the trigger button. It has swivel locking clip that can hold the trigger on at the desired speed. That especially helps me when doing a lot of work since it seems the first body parts to tire are my trigger finger, forearm, and shoulder. I would have liked for them to include a carry strap to take even more weight off your arm but I guess that depends on the person using the blower. I also would have liked a larger main tube or attachment to cast the air to wider range. Overall, I like enough to keep it and replace my previous plug-in blower. The difference in air volume MPH is not enough to deter me. The following points make this a buy if I’m choosing between this or a plug-in blower or a gasoline blower:: 1. Lightweight and comfortable to carry for extended periods 2. Cordless is super convenient. I don’t have to worry about dragging a cord around or tripping on it 3. No gasoline cost, fumes, and less environmental impact 4. Decent battery life per charge. I can wait an hour or two to charge a battery versus taking a dirty and smelly gas tank over to the gas station 5. Lower noise output compared to plug-in or gas powered.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One neighbor in back, and one next door, both have trees that deposit needles in my desert landscaping, river rocks and artificial grass. I've been struggling for years to keep my grounds clean with an electric leaf blower, with lousy results.
