    I Love It

I'm 66 years old, and I've had no problems operating or maneuvering this snow shovel. I probably am stronger than most 66 year-old females though. I haven't used it on 5 or more inches of snow, but it has easily powered through 3 or 4 inches of snow and the buildup at the end of my driveway from the snow plow. It helps that my neighbors have a flag, and that I can check wind direction. If the wind isn't blowing I have to go back and forth across my driveway to keep the snow blowing out in front of me.

It does have some limitations ( doesn't everything ? ) But overall once you get the hang of it it's pretty cool. For starters , yes it's a little heavy and is hard to use if your just relying on your arms. I quickly figured out , lean it against your body and let your body weight push it as you walk. Your arms will thank you. It will go thru heavy slush just at a slow pace. Jam it into the muck like you're trying to kill it and it will stall/stop If it begins to stop at other times, the battery needs to be charged I'd love it if it had tiny wheels but let's face it that'd be something else to break and you're probably pushing it over slippery surface anyways. Batteries are a little expensive when not on sale, but hey there's worse ways to spend money. The unit comes with a 2ah battery and as of the writing of my review BB has the 4ah battery on sale. I'm impressed enough that I've already bought another of these for son and daughter in law

I have two patios that are difficult to clear….got a great deal at Best Buy…with a second battery (definitely needed). One patio has a 18 inch wall around it and the other is 30 feet long with a wall along one side. Just had 7-8 inches of wet snow. The small thrower handled the snow well. Most went over the wall…just had to shovel small amount that hit wall and fell back. Did the long patio in two sections…first the area furthest from house. Thought I would probably need to shovel the rest pushing it all the way down the cleared section….but the thrower was able to shoot it all the way down the patio as I walked behind it. I was impressed. Just a couple negatives. It is only 12 inches wide so takes a lot of passes. But that’s ok. As others have commented it is rather heavy. With a bad back I felt it….but still better than shoveling and having to pick up the snow and carry it/ throw it by hand. And finally, with 8 inches of snow, the battery certainly didn’t last long enough to finish. But with two batteries, that charge quickly, it worked quite well. Time will tell how it holds up after multiple uses….

Works really well, but the battery life is too short. The shovel is easy to use, lightweight and quickly removes snow, but the battery only lasts 20 minutes, then needs to charge for 30-40 minutes. Depending on how much area you have to shovel, this may not be the right solution.

    Powerful Battery Powered Snow Shovel

Very powerful, throws the snow a good distance. Works good with both wet or dry snow, but less effective with ice as with all power snow shovels. Distance of throw is excellent. Lack of directional control is unfortunate, but can work around that by angling your approach. This is a sturdy machine, but it is heavy, you will use a little more muscle than with some lighter units, but those typically have a shorter throw distance, so consider which is an advantage for you. We have bought two shovels. Not for use with gravel drives, but works great on paved areas and decking. Have had for a month, and used for two snowfalls, cleared nicely with a wet 6" deep snowfall. Clears right down to the surface, leaving little is any snow behind. I would recommend and buy again.

Weighs about 20 lbs with battery. No directional louvers, throws straight ahead. Have to tip machine upside-down to remove battery. Battery lasts a long time. Throws snow well and for a good distance. Comes with a fast charger. Takes about 1/2 hr to completely charge a low battery. Very sturdily made. If keeping it inside between uses I suggest resting it in an empty cat liter box.

Hello 1trex9. Always enjoy hearing from our customers. We appreciate your feedback and are glad you had some pros and cons to share with us. To direct the angle at which an electric snow shovel throws snow, slightly tilt the shovel itself in the desired direction while operating it; by angling the shovel slightly left or right, you can control where the snow is ejected. A small tilt is usually enough to redirect the snow slightly to the side you want. We hope this tip helps and provides a better user experience. If you ever have specific questions or concerns about our products, contact Greenworks via Live chat on our website (www.greenworkstools.com), call us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or refer to the FAQ ask section of the tool or ask us a question, anytime. This snow shovel works great and the battery life is very good. I had read in other reviews that the snow shovel is heavy and I would have to agree with that. I have a paver driveway and the shovel will sometimes get hung up on uneven pavers. Overall I think it does a very good job

Convenient because it's battery operated It is a little cumbersome to manage in terms of heaviness. Probably would be better if it had wheels. Throws the snow very far. Not sure if there is a way to control that better. It does clear the snow down to the pavement.

Good at throwing snow, somewhat bulky and klutzy to maneuver, although this is mansion on multiple online reviews. As a hole, I found it useful for stairs and smaller areas that it’s hard to get out with a snowblower.

Used this brand new Greenworks electric snow shovel today on 5 inches of snow. It worked great, so much easier than shoveling by hand! (1) Don't shovel against the wind, or the wind will blow the snow back on your body. (2) The 2AH battery doesn't have enough power capacity, so it would last only a few minutes. We have two 4AH Batteries from other Greenworks devices, so the short battery runtime of the original 2AH battery is not an issue. If you don't have spare batteries, you will need to stop shoveling and recharge the 2AH battery frequently to finish the job. (3) Overall, this is a very nice small electric snow shovel.

Compared this with the competitors on Consumer Reports and then double checked with Best Buy and Amazon reviews. This one by Greenworks definitely delivers. It's crazy how far it throws snow! It is a bit front heavy. Only critique . . . it's too difficult to remove the battery; it needs a place to grab to pull the battery out. Aside from that, this sure beats having to buy a snow blower for small walk-ways and areas. Super easy to use. I recommended it to my sister-in-law, and she bought it, too . . . also loves it!

I used it today for the first time. I agree with others that is a little heavy. I wonder if wheel would make it move better . Plenty of power. Woeked well on my wooden deck and stairs. Would highly recommend this item

I wasn't sure if this will help me, but I don't have space to store a big snow removal machine, but this past weekend I completed my snow removal in 1 hour, when the normal time to me was 2 or 3 hours, (with one break) I'm a 50 years old woman, I don't feel that this shovel is heave, have big battery and 1 hour work take only the 40% of the battery.

Tried it today and were stunned It threw the snow over 39 feet Crazy strong Very heavy to pickup Thought it would just push but gets hung up at sidewalk cracks So more lifting then i thought but still faster and easier than regular shovel Also glad I didn’t have to pull a cord to start it
