Hello Prettylady. We would love to hear what you think of the Greenworks 80v winter combo kit -when you have a chance to use it a few times. In the meantime, here are some tips we'd like to share with you to ensure longevity of the unit. For peak performance, use batteries stored at room temperature (16°C-23°C). Units may experience difficulties operating when stored outside of the recommended temperature range. If unit is not starting, allow battery to come to room temperature and try again. Heavy, wet, or compacted snow requires more power, which can reduce runtime even with 4.0Ah batteries.
Under demanding conditions, an average runtime of 15–30 minutes per battery can be expected, particularly when using both the snow blower and snow shovel. Many customers alternate between the two included batteries using one while the other charges to complete larger jobs more efficiently. For extended clearing sessions, additional 80V batteries or higher-capacity options can further improve total runtime. Hello CarlN. We are sorry to hear the kit has not met your needs. The both the 80v 12" shovel and 20" snow blower can throw snow as far as 20’. Depending on the snow conditions, you might need to adjust the snow intake depth. Here are a few tips to help better your user experience. Start slow, begin with a slower speed to get a feel for the machine and the snow conditions.
Adjust the chute, direct the snow discharge away from areas you've already cleared by adjusting the chute angle.
Overlap passes, slightly overlap each pass to ensure thorough snow removal.
Take smaller bites in deep snow, for heavy snow, move slower and make multiple passes to avoid overloading the blower.
For the snow shovel, adjusting your pushing speed, and managing the amount of snow you scoop up at once; pushing at a shallower angle and with less snow will generally result in a shorter throw, while a steeper angle and a full scoop will throw snow further.
