Hi AjitK. Thank you for your review. Runtimes will vary depending on the unit it is used in as well as the power load applied (turbo/high settings vs low/regular settings). The Greenworks 80V 4.0AH battery will give you a run-time of up to 35-40 minutes on lower settings. The more power required, the faster the battery will deplete. Full kits including a tool, battery, and charger are priced affordably so that consumers can begin building that line of tools and move forward purchasing tool-only units. When you purchase batteries on their own, it is more notable the cost that they carry. We apologize if this is of any inconvenience to you. One of the many benefits of the Greenworks 80V platform is the interchangeability of the batteries. If additional batteries are purchased in a combo pack (tool + battery) for another Greenworks 80V tool, you will have extra battery that would provide you with the additional run time. Alternatively, additional batteries can be purchased to extend the run time. This unit is compatible with 80V Greenworks batteries (only). We take pride in our battery and charger and only work with the highest quality products, our 80V platform batteries have been tested over 2000 charges! Greenworks lithium-ion batteries are backed by a four-year (homeowner) limited warranty. If the battery has been recently used or warm allow the battery to cool prior to use. Remember, to avoid false defect reading leave the charger unplugged after use. This will help to ensure your battery is correctly charged each time. After charging and before use check the charge of the battery using the indicator button on the front of the battery. This will let you know the current charge of your battery.

Hello HyphyBusRyder. We are sorry to hear about your experience with this battery. This unit provides up to 40 min. (w/ a fully charged 4Ah battery). Run-times varies based on grass conditions and operator’s technique. As you mentioned you are getting 10 minutes of runtime in self-propelled mode. Self-propelled mowers do use more battery than standard push mowers as more power is being demanded from the battery to run the blades and the wheels. Hello Anson - Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with this product. Here are a few troubleshooting suggestions to check out. 1) When the battery is inserted, the light should begin flashing green to indicate the battery is charging. If this light is not igniting or is flashing red, this may indicate an issue and we would be interested in hearing more about this. If the light simply goes solid red, try removing the battery and unplugging the charger for about 10 minutes and place them both indoors in a room temperature setting, as this might indicate the battery is at the incorrect temperature to be charged. 2) Ensure that the battery has been fully inserted into the charger. Sometimes this requires a firm push into place to make sure that it has been properly seated. 3) Try resetting the charger. To do this, simply unplug it for approximately 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try reinserting the battery. If the charger has been plugged in for extended periods of time, this can sometimes cause the charger to malfunction.
