Smoking after 2nd use

The first one broke after around 6-7 uses. It had a crack in the metal part of the machine that made it stop functioning. The Greenworks rep told me I needed to store it inside, not in a a garage, over the Winter months. Rrright. They sent me a repalcement that stopped working at use 2, just dudnt turn on anymore. Checked the GFCI, wasnt anything external, so it had to be something internal. So I got a third one that worked great for the first 2 uses, them on the third use, after powerwashing my deck, it started smoking and smelling awful. Outside the return window by 3 days. I really don’t understand the positive reviews on Greenworks power washers, as I’ve tried 3 machines in then past year that all had 3 different but serious defects.

Parts can sometimes crack when the pump was not properly winterizing and the water froze, expanded, and damaged a piece of the brass. If the pressure washer is subjected to freezing temperatures or is to be stored or left unused for ANY period longer than thirty days, the unit should be stored properly. This is called “winterizing”. The term is confusing because your storage period may or may not happen in cold temperatures or even during winter. Nevertheless, this procedure is strongly recommended to be done every time the unit may sit for longer than thirty days without being used. Whether stored inside or out, heated space or cold, winter or summer. This keeps the unit from freezing and, very importantly, it keeps water from drying out inside the pump and leaving behind very harmful deposits. These deposits will act like sandpaper in the seals the next time they are used and could damage a piece of the brass. This also keeps any parts from rusting or oxidizing which may destroy your pump.

Too good to be true

It smells like the motor burned up and the switch doesn't soar to do anything as the light is always on but pump is shot. Starting to lose hope in finding an electric model that actually works this wasnt my first sprayer. Starting to think had is the way to go if you want quality.

Great little machine, but missing a piece.

The higher the PSI on a pressure washer, the more PSI you will receive and water volume — in gallons per minute (GPM). A pressure washer rated with a higher PSI and GPM cleans better and faster but often costs more than lower-rated units but depending on your workload, it may be necessary.
