This cable is normally about 12", but stretches to 4'. If your USB plug is closer to where you store your phone, this cable will keep from having excess hanging loosely. The thicker jacket around the wire also appear to be able to take some abuse without failing, unlike the genuine Apple cables.

Best Buy rep showed me just what I needed in order to charge my IPAD without having to pay for extra items. Not only does it charge my IPAD, but it also charges other apple products that I have. I was under the assumption that I would have to purchase another Apple charger, but Best Buy showed me different. Thank You Best Buy you saved me a bundle.

Solution to car cable clutter problem

This cable doesn’t take any extra space than it needs to. The quality and thickness of this cable is excellent and it has been charging my iPhone reliably since last 4 years. Will buy again.

Decent charger, would have thought twice

Only downside is the coiled cable does not have much give, so attempting to drive and adjust is difficult. Would stick with a regular iPhone chord, but that's just me.

Had to bite the bullet and buy another one. This one is supposed to have a better connector. Only time will tell. Very useful in the car and stretches as needed.
