Well, this charger does away with how annoying that is. It's also got a neat little light that turns on so you can see what you're doing at night.

I think it's due to the length of the plugs. But this one is short and has worked every single time ice used it.

Will not fit Ford F-150 truck

However, it did fit in the Ford Crown Victoria. I bought two of them, so I'm going to use the other one as a Christmas present. Also, be aware it will only charge one USB device at a time, since it only has one port, unlike the Apple USB chargers which have two ports.
