Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Black/Blue Survivor All-Terrain iPad case's excellent protection and secure fit. Many appreciate its ease of use and the grippy feel, while some find the weight and lack of a screen protector to be drawbacks. The case's sturdiness is frequently praised, although opinions vary on the quality of the stand and the overall price.

Geek squad was worthless. Put the cover over the camera and over the volume. My son fixed it in two seconds. $50.00 wasted and it's in the garbage!!!

The case did not fit the iPad I bought. Had the same kind of case for another iPad. Think the customer service sold me the wrong item

I really want to take it back and exchange it for another protector that can cover the front side. It is too expensive for it to have so many flaws.

It is a good case if used by an adult but not good enough to b kids proof. My kids chewed through the case really easily..

This case does the job if you are looking for something that is tuff. If this case can withstand with my 3yr & 4yr old trust me it is tuff.

Durable cover, but blocks wireless signals

Quite a bit difficult to physically put cover on, though seems sturdy once in place. Also not quickly intuitive to work prop stand on back, but useful once understood. Biggest negative is that, with the cover on, the iPad is constantly losing wireless signal. Deal breaker.

I purchased this case due to its build quality and the fact that it states it can withstand most anything. I am in the Military and I crew Blackhawks so I needed a case that could take the abuse that a lot of travel can dish out. I use it constantly and I can tell you that I have dropped it from a height of about 4 feet and no damage was done to it. I also tripped going up my stairs in the house and the iPad went flying and then proceeded to bounce all the way down the stairs and again no damage. I use an app while flying to calculate fuel consumption so I have it out most of the time. As any Crewchief will know the windows in a Blackhawk do not seal well and when flying in bad weather in the clouds the rain will spray through the cracks. The full coverage that this case provides does not make me scramble to wipe it off. The water does not penetrate the case and I have taken it out a few times after getting it wet just to check. Overall the case is a bit bulky but that is the price you pay for protection like this. I would recommend this case to anybody that wants great protection for their iPad or if you have kids that play with yours a lot. Sand, vibration, water and dropping it, my ipad2 and this case has seen it all and it is still like new. I cant praise it enough!

It was hard to install. The touch screed was less sensitive to my touch. It interfered with my wifi signal making FaceTime impossible. I bought it because I have a two year old boy that loves to play games and carry the iPad to his room to play away from his siblings. I ended up getting the iGuy case instead. Which was less than half the price.

I love this case. I decided to get it as soon as I looked at accessories. It's great for on the go. I have a keyboard case for school and work but most times I'm strapping this on. It completely encases the iPad, while giving complete access to it's functions. The screen is protected by a plastic cover, however, don't drop it on anything screen first because this is really a scratch guard as well as works in conjunction with the case's overall wear-and-tear protection. The case itself is made of rubber and there are latches that enclose the various access points. Simply, pop them open and access the functions. This is especially handy when charging/syncing and so on. Along those lines are the fact that the headphone jack is wide enough for most plug ins (headphones, DJ cable, etc.) The case doesn't interfere with any wireless connections you have either. I trust that casual contact with the elements such as water and so on will be protected, however, I'm not about to test its protection by dropping it in the bathtub. I can tell you that I have accidentally dropped it on a carpet from about 3-4 feet and had no problems. It also comes with a stand to prop the iPad up in landscape. This is really nice cause it's now my bedroom clock at night. The case comes with a removable stand that is attached along the long axis of the device. It folds up for easy storage as well as carrying of the iPad. This is great cause the stand is very stable. The rear of the case has flaps that open to reveal the camera, speaker and microphone. These are designed to be latched to stay open, however, this is unreliable as the flaps easily dislodge by accident or more often on their own. The placement of the flaps if you wish to latch them open dictates which side of the case you place the stand if you are traveling. I don't typically use the camera and if I'm using the microphone then typically I've put the iPad into another device (I do audio recordings). One other thing to note is that the screen protector is plastic and is slightly thicker than your average screen protector. This sometimes interferes with the use of a stylus. Overall, love it. It's sturdy and when you add on a strap attachment (sold separately) then this is extremely convenient and protects the iPad for more than your normal wear and tear.

    Impressed...and unimpressed

I purchased this case for my new iPad 2 about 1.5 days ago, mainly because I read and viewed all the great reviews it received. I have been a loyal Otterbox user since my first iPhone several years ago as well as having a Defender on my 1st gen iPad for the past year and a half. I will admit that this case seems more stout than the Otterbox, and I believe this is due to the thickness of the silicone skin, which truly is much thicker than the Otterbox. Today I took the iPad to work (1 day in Survivor case), and started to put it my backpack as I had everyday with my Otterbox encased iPad 1...but then I realized "there is no true face protection, hit the center of the face on the corner of the desk and I doubt the Survivor's integrated screen protector will fend off damage". So instead I found myself carrying it into work. This evening I went to look at the Defender and thought the polycarbonate case seemed flimsy, but then arrived home and took the iPad out of the Survivor and guess what...it's the same flexibility as the competition! So what makes it more stout is the silicone. There is a certain sense of security to having the snap on face plate provided with the Otterbox Defender, and I never thought twice about throwing it in the backpack. If the Griffin had a similar face plate it would be the ultimate in protection, since it does not I will be returning it tomorrow. A couple other notes. I found the small recesses that are supposed to hold the speaker and camera covers in place utterly useless. No matter how many times I tried to get them to stay, the longest was about 15 seconds. The stand is weak and not stable compared to Otterbox. Overall this is very well constructed, and I really like the integrated plastic face protector...but no rigid snap on face plate makes me question it...just wish it had the face plate.
