I bought this case with the new gen (3rd) ipad. From looking at the wear and tear on my ipod touch, I knew it was necessary to get a case so rugged. It satisfied all my expectations but I don't like how the tabs dont stay open, there are slots where you supposed to put the tabs to stay open and they dont stay in so at times to use the camera I would have to hold the tab open also its hard to open the stand - it sticks. Owned it for a weekend and so far so good. Ipad is now a little more bulky so I need to shop for a new carrying bag.

I purchased the Griffin Technology Survivor Case for my iPhone® 4 at the same time I purchased the phone several months ago and it is great. When I purchased my iPad® 2, I immediately purchased the Griffin Technology Survivor Case for iPad® 2 before I even opened the box. I recently had full body carbon fiber Ghost Armor applied to both my iPhone® and iPad®, and they both fit back into the Griffin Technology Survivor Cases perfectly. I did remove the plastic screen cover from the Griffin cases as the Ghost Armor screen protector film doesn't scratch like the Griffin plastic screen does.

I bought this case in order to feel somewhat more safe about taking my IPad with me to WV on a motorcycle trip. On my way home I was riding in a down pour I had the IPad and the survivor case on it in my top case on the back of the bike. I came up a hill and then a immediate downhill right hand turn with tore up pavement was in my path the tires lost traction half way through the turn by touching the centerline in the rain resulting in a crash me the bike and the iPad lived to tell about it. Thanks Griffin!

I was looking for a fairly-priced case/cover for an iPad 2, and this is exactly what I wanted. This thing feels like a tank!

Griffin Technology Survivor Case for my iPad is excellent. It protects my iPad just as described. It is a little heavier than some covers, but if you are looking for protection for a expensive piece of equipment, this is the item to get.

Was talked into buying this by the salesperson and wanted to take it back as soon as I opened it b/c I thought the screen cover looked cheap. When I actually got the ipad in there I was surprised how well the touch screen still responded. I have a four year old and the port covers have saved me from a variety of crumbs, sand, spills, etc. Haven't dropped it yet (knock on wood) but seems to be holding up well. So glad I was talked into this one! Fits nicely with logitech keyboard/stand combo. The included stand is very flimsy.

This is a pretty good product. It protects the iPad well and looks cool. On the down side, it adds a lot of weight to the iPad and the touch screen is less sensitive.

OK , This is a perfect all arround case for the iPad except for the clear screen guard . I have a Zagg shield on my screen and it makes a slite moist spot in the center of the screen sort of blotchy , if you will. This may not happen without the Zagg shield on the unit I dont know . I did not want to remove the Zagg so I cut the plastic window out of the face cover and left the camera port alone . It looks like it was made this way and no more blotchy moisture haze . I love the case and do give a two thumbs up!

I have never written 1 of these, so that should say how much I like this product. I have 2 iPhones in the house and 2 iPod touches all 4 have Defender OtterBoxes. I just bought the Griffin Survivor for my iPad 2. It has a screen cover, which the OtterBox doesn't. It has AWESOME covers over all the ports, and speakers. The rubber is much more dense, and the whole product feels stronger. If there is a down side, it is that the Survivor case is a bit heavier thn than the Defender case, but I think the weight is worth the extra protection on a purchase of this price. All of my future protective cases will be from griffin.

This is the type of bullet proof case that I like for clumsy people. I love my wife. But we both know that iPad is gonna take a tumble just like her 3 iPhones. Her 4th iPhone has a similar case to this, and has survived many potential cell phone catastrophes. It also comes with a screen protector to save you $$$$. Buy this case, buy a warranty, enjoy the iPad...worth the dolla dolla bills

The case provides good protection for our iPad 2 while still making it easy to use. However, 2 of my existing connecting cables (stereo headphones and a dock port to A/V component) wouldn't work with the case on as the openings provided for them were (a millimeter) too small. I'm not sure if this is the case's problem or the cables but it was a hard lesson to learn on our first trip with it.

Picked up this case for my son who is in the Air Force so he end up in places that can kill an iPad this case has saved his iPad a few time. it make the iPad a little heavy but you can't beat the protection

I use my iPad with special needs kids and I wanted something durable to prevent it from getting cracked....again.... So far so good. Pros: Encases the entire iPad. (It's not just a sleeve) Very sturdy. The plastic covering does not compromise the ability to see the screen or the touch feature. Cons: I have a dog and the case picks up dog hair like crazy. You have to hold the camera flap open to take a non face forward picture. It's heavy.

I tote my iPad2 to construction sites and decided that I should get a more rugged case that could protect against the elements and possible extreme damage. Rugged it is and I like that feature a lot. However, the screen protector rides above the unit and completely undermines the integrity of the touch screen. I have to press extra hard for functionality and accuracy is compromised. Tabs in the corners are non accessible 9 out of 10 attempts to use them. Point being, in order to use the iPad in an accurate and timely fashion I have to remove it from the case which defeats the point of having one. Additionally the covers for the speaker and the camera lens cannot be held open making those features useless as well. The stand is the perfect angle but it is difficult to pry it open without fear of breaking it. My overall opinion is that the unit is great for protecting it from the rough housing of children that do not need or expect top performance but not for professional use when full functionality is necessary.

I bought two covers/casses and returned them until I found this one. Even though it's kind of pricy it's by far the best case on the market that I have seen!!! I even returned my insurance policy after buying this case! Originally I pad planned on buying a Zagg Shield for it, no need with the survivor case. It's a must if you take your ipad2 out of your house!

Purchased three of these cases for use in a rugged business environment (on airplanes for mechanic's use). These cases are doing a great job of protecting our new iPads while allowing full use of features and ease of operation. Lightweight, durable and functional while protecting our investment. Was especially surprised at how well the screen cover still allowed great touch screen use. Can't beat it!

Hands down, I love this product. I have had it on my iPad 2 since the first week of buying it, and that was over a year and a half ago. Only downside was the tab protecting the charger/data cable input broke off after about a year and the tabs that fold back on the back side of the case do not stay put when trying to expose the speaker or camera. But regardless, this case has kept my iPad in pristine condition, and that is why I bought it in the first place.

Bought my 3 year old an ipad 2. yes my 3 yr old. he's had experience with computures since age 2. wanted a protector in case of drops and spills. what better than a military tested completely wrapped dust proof with build in screen protector. Love it so much gonna buy one for my ipod. Only one thing not like. one of the rubber tabs on the back that hides/protects the charger input fell off. Would highly recommend. already been dropped. Protected! already had spills. Protected! already sooo many fingerprints. Protected! just wipe clean with a baby wipe.

Case is overall super protective. Has survived several drops already with no problem. Screen protective would be better if it was anti glare
