This is my first iPad, and of course I want to protect my investment the best way possible. This Griffin Survivor case was probably the most protective one available on release day. What I really want is the LifeProof Nuud case, but we will have to wait for that. This Survivor does the job. Installation and removal of the case is a learning process though.

The case is durable and works great if you are not putting the ipad in a back pack. Unfortunately, I am, and because the button sticks out so far on the case, I had to turn off Siri. It was going off constantly and this case does not offer any way to protect that button from getting pushed. If you pack your ipad in a bag often, I would not recommend this case, if you usually carry it or use it just around the house, this case would be a good fit.

After installing the case, the whole set feels rigid and good. My ipad did survive a 2 feet fall on a carpeted floor, and I did not even worry that the ipad could have been damaged. The case feels too bulky, but this is expected from a rugged case. This case also attracts lint, but I can live with it. Coming to the reason I am giving 1 start. This case has three parts and one of them is to protect the screen. I opened the case 10 hrs after installation, and found two thick lines in the iPad scree, which appears when you rub plastic against glass (of ipad). The screen protection part of this case is made of plastic (probably cheap). I used the lens cleaning wipes to remove those thick lines. But, I know that these lines are the start of future scratches. I am going to return this to best buy tomorrow. I don't want my ipad protector to damage my ipad. I see reviews on other websites where people are asking to not use the screen protector. But the whole point of buying a case for me is to protect the screen when it falls, or when a little water spills, or any kind of general use cases. I am not suggesting any other cases, even my quest for a good case is still in progress.

I'm a huge Lifeproof and Otterbox fan and glad I purchased this case instead. This case is much lighter and feels great in the hands. Nice rubber and plastic combination.

I bought this for my wife's new Ipad air. She wasn't sure about it until she tried it. She loves it!! The price was right!

I put this on my son's iPad 2 months ago. I just realized yesterday, that it covers up the camera! He has a brand new iPad Air, and the lens is of ftp one side, not centrally located like on the back of this case. (I thought the iPad was defective at first) I am a bit annoyed. I also tried new software with a stylus, and I have to press very hard to get it to work. Without this cover on, it is fine. I guess that is because of the clear cover, so that is understandable.

Bought it today with my iPad Air and the speakers don't line up with a holes on the case??? Wait for them to update it before buying it

This is the worst case for any prodcut I have ever seen. I am returning it immediately. I would never, ever recommend this case to anyone, much less a friend.
