We bought an ipad mini for our 4 & 21/2 year olds and it has been dropped many times already and nothing has happened to it. We were going to get a different one but I saw this one and asked the sales person what he would recommend and he said the defender case for sure, plus it comes with a screen protector where the other one did not we love it and would recommend it to everyone.
