Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the excellent fit and ease of use of the Trainer Armband for iPod nano (7th gen.). Many appreciate its protective qualities, especially during workouts in various weather conditions, and its lightweight design. However, some users mention challenges with volume control and the durability of the elastic band. A few also note that the armband's bulkiness and design could be improved.

I am a distance runner, and wind up sweating a lot. The armband itself fit a bit too tight, and didn't have enough coverage of the ports on the Nano 7 to really protect the device sufficiently from sweat. I have wrecked a Nano before from sweat (one of my critiques of Apple is their devices are very fragile, even things supposed to work for workouts, and, it is generally perceived as the customer's fault rather than a poor design, so, I bought this to avoid that happening again.) Long story short, I wound up taking it back. For as big and clunky as it is, it really didn't provide enough protection for the device.

Although it holds my iPod, it is hard to adjust the volume and to get it to let me go through the menu with the clear front. It also seems to slide down on my arm.

Not a fan of the armband and half the time when you touch it to change a song or switch screens it won't do so. Also, the clear see through plastic for the screen gives off a reflextion and you can't read the screen to well.

Not that good. The three that I had lasted about 2 months each and fell apart. I go to the gym 5-7 days a week. Since it's the only one with an elastic band, I'll continue to buy it. The other brands don't fit my arms.

The ipod is small, light and has easy acess to the controls. Why cover it up with such a bulky case and armband? Also, the controls are difficult to use when it is in the case, and it is almost impossible to get out once it is put in. I returned it.

Armband looks good but is not waterproof on the long runs. Sweat will get into the plastic and make ipod wet and have problems.

    Not good for exercise

Previously, we bought 2 of the Incase armbands for our new Ipod nanos (7 gen), and found them worthless for use while exercising. I bought one of these next. The good points: the iPod fits inside much better than the Incase, the armband is nice and long, the case seems well made. But the bad news: there is a big slit in the back, to get the iPod in and out. The opening lies directly against your arm, and if you exercise, sweat will get inside and all over your new iPod. Fail. This one feature ruins this case, unless you're going to wear it around the house or somewhere that won't make you perspire. By the way, this also has a design flaw in that there is no way to adjust the volume without removing the iPod from the case. it's true that under "music", there is a volume controller on the screen, so you don't have to use the button on the side. However, if you use "Nike" like I do, then you set the volume and you're stuck with it for an entire run or workout. Nike doesn't have a volume slider on the screen. I have to wonder if anyone from these companies actually takes one of these out for a run before they sell them. At least this time, I didn't buy 2. I completely rusted out a previous iPod using a case with a similar design. Sweat got in the case and within months, ruined the iPod.

I use this when I'm working out, or at the gym, I use to hold my Ipod in my bra which sometimes it would get sweaty and could break. Then I got one of these items and now I don't worry about it, it goes on your arm, I put it on my lower arm so I can have access to change the music when I want to easier. eventually ended up buying like 2 more for when I travel and if I lose one.

My wife needed a replacement case for her Sansa iPod. A size that works for the Sansa iPods can be difficult to find. This one works perfectly. The clear screen is a good size and pliant enough to be able to shift music very easily. It provides great protection in heavy rain.
