Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the excellent fit and ease of use of the Trainer Armband for iPod nano (7th gen.). Many appreciate its protective qualities, especially during workouts in various weather conditions, and its lightweight design. However, some users mention challenges with volume control and the durability of the elastic band. A few also note that the armband's bulkiness and design could be improved.

Durable, fits my arm well enough. Didn't realize my iPod was an older generation (sixth or maybe fifth) so doesn't fit the device perfectly

I like the band for my Nano. The only thing I do not like is the volume control. I wish it had a cut out on the side for volume control.

The arm band provides a snug fit, but not too tight. It doesn't do as well with significant sweat, however.

My girlfriend says that this is much better for holding her ipod than the old one she had. Doesn't shift when she's working out.

    Difficult to use

This armband is very difficult to use. It is stiff, inflexible and hard to access controls. The plastic cover is too thick and it is nearly impossible to open icons or swipe. Nano fits so tightly it is also tough to fit earbuds into slot through the fabric. Armband itself is uncomfortable even with an accurate fit. Wish I hadn't bought it - don't feel like going through the hassle of return.

I picked this one up because I love the Griffin case I have for my 5th generation iPod. This one is just does not live up to the expectations I had. After just one use the elastic was already starting to break. The case is in the way of the side buttons making them pretty useless. I wish I had saved my money and purchased something else.

Very poor design, way too big for 7th gen iPod

This product would be great, if it weren't the size of a Mack truck. The packaging it comes in specifically notes that the armband is for the 7th gen iPod, yet the armband is large enough to hold an iTouch or iPhone. The actual pouch that the iPod fits into is half an inch too wide, and two inches taller than the 7th gen, which it is supposedly designed for. My opinion is that this was a product that was originally designed for a larger model iPod, or maybe even a large smartphone. When the 7th gen came out, the manufacturer just stitched the back of the band to fit a smaller item. The photo on the front of the box is a lie. The 7th gen iPod does not fill the window as shown. While the above is strictly my opinion, the end result, whatever the reason this product made it to market, is that the iPod shifts around inside the armband while you run (because that's why most of us buy the thing, correct?). For $25, I'd expect the thing to fit the product it says it does.

    Serviceable

The best thing about this item is that I can easily press the touch pad icons through the vinyl window. It's also easy to put the iPod nano into it because it is flexible. Arm band could be larger and kind of pricey given the materials it is constructed of. If it was $4 or $5 dollars cheaper, I would be giving it an excellent review.

    Meh

All I was looking for was a method to keep my ipod on my arm while I work out. It does that and I dont have to worry about it falling out or anything. Other than that the material is cheap, the sleeve for the IPOD is cheap and this company would go out of business in two seconds if this was their only item. Have fun.

Average but hard to press buttons.

This is a great idea and it works well around the arm. However, touching through the plastic to the iPod is difficult especially when exercising. Lots of times, it doesn't even see my finger or it will go to the main screen when I just want to turn up the volume. I live with it, but this isn't the best thing around.

Good looking armband, um, I mean wristband. As an avid gym-goer, my biceps will not fit easily in this band. It is not fully adjustable since there is not a complete detachment of the strap from itself. It fits fine on my forearm.

Gets the Job Done, Nothing Special

While it stays on, the screen is almost impossible to use once you start sweating and working out it is impossible to use. The buttons on the side of the nano are also hard to get to when this case is on.
