This is a very detailed service. They contact you 3 times the day before and once the day off to give a smaller time window so you know when to expect them.

For years I avoided extended warranties. Since products are no longer made to last for many years as they use to be I took the Geek Squad plan which has worked out well. The positives are excellent and fast service, knowledable staff on the phones who are willing to help. Techs that come to the home are always excellent and helpful. The negatives include: 1. If a product needs to be replaced when you paid for the plan any remaining years on the plan are voided out, they don't transfer to the replacement item which means you lost that money plus pay again for the plan on the new item. I therefore will never purchase a plan longer than a 2 yr plan. 2. The plan shouldn't go into effect until the manufacture's warranty expires.

The geek Squad came to our house and was so professional. They connected everything together, hid the wires and then showed the family how everything worked.
