Guardians of the Galaxy features a fun story coupled with very endearing characters. We watched this on family movie night and everybody enjoyed it, which is tough to accomplish at our house. The movie itself looks fantastic on bluray with tight lines and well saturated colors. If you're hungry for some comedic action, this should give you what you need. Pop some popcorn and enjoy!

Recently purchase this 3D version, all I can say the 3d effects are amazing, don’t understand why they have stopped selling 3d movies in the US, I seen in other countries 3d versions are still for sale, will be nice to get 3d versions in th US again specially with the new 3d movies coming out this summer, hopefully those will be release in 3d in the US.

Waited outside the store for over an hour because they were sold out online for the special steel case edition. Have to say it was worth the wait for a collectable junkie. As for the movie, I rate it a must see. The meshing of old and new, not to mention the humor makes this movie something I can watch over and over again. Oh and the DisneyMoviesAnywhere digital streaming copy just sweetens the deal.

For Marvel fans it's a no brainer. Great adaptation of the comic strip series. For everyone else it's a must see. Kudos to the writers and directors for making the interaction of the characters and their comical quips the most engaging and endearing part of this movie. It's also a visual delight with amazing cinematography. Hands down the best movie I saw in 2014 and will watch over and over again,

And that's saying quite a bit. I'm a huge marvel fan and this one does it all for me. I love the snarkiness of Rocket, I love the swagger of Peter Quill, I love the dangerousness of Gamora, I love the brute strength and literalness of Drax and I just love Groot. They all come together in a fantastic way and work together amazingly. Such a well done movie - and the soundtrack is THE BEST, hands down.

This is easily second best in the marvel cinematic universe. Best being captain America the winter soldier. Yes this team of heroes movie was better than the avengers. Had a lot of humor and lots of action. The villian in this movie also actually feels like a threat rather than the weak Loki. There is a bunch of language to be aware of if you're gonna watch with the family so watch with the youngins

I watched this movie on the big screen for it's original release and then again on it second theater run. I thought the holiday prices that were offered on this movie were just too good to pass up.. I'm a old Marvel Comic guy and love all the action and subtle humor in this movie.. Great new characters and added story line.. Thanks for making the movie so affordable so that I could own my own copy.

A talking racoon? A super-human tree? Despite what would appear to be an absurd story, this film is actually quite entertaining. This movie was everything a Marvel film has or ever will try to be. Thrilling, hilarious, and heartfelt, with great special effects and the perfect cast, this film is bonafide entertainment and the best blockbuster of the year. It was great from beginning to end!

The movie itself is hilarious, beautiful, and all around excellent, and I'm impressed with the artwork chosen for the steelbook case. If I were reviewing the movie alone, I'd rate it 5 stars, but I need to detract 1 star from the packaging because mine has a slash across the spine, presumably where a Best Buy employee sliced open the crate with a box cutter. I hear this is a common complaint. Employees need to be more careful when unpacking these exclusive items which many collectors love to keep in mint condition. I find Best Buy steelbook cases to be very flimsy, and some don't snap shut with a convincingly strong clasp. Nevertheless, this product really impresses anyone who sees it on my shelf. I am willing to forgive any minor packaging woes. A great purchase at $20.

Sci fi fan or not, this is the best movie ever. The characters are all flawed. I like the idea that even though our Heros do bad things, it reflects that people are not bad, they just make bad choices!! The humor is fantastic in that it cracks a smile at the appropriate moments without making the movie feel like a comedy. I recommend this movie for all, but particularly all Marvel/comicbook fans.

I honestly don't read the comic books and don't know much about them outside of the marvel movies, so I didn't know what to expect from guardians of the galaxy, but it is one of my absolute favorite marvel movies, maybe even my favorite, which is a hard decision because they are all so good! Such a great family movie with a lot of comedy and action for all ages.

With Guardians of the Galaxy, they've taken a little known comic series and made it a new fan favorite. They manage to weave it with the rest of the Marvel movies in such a way that the film is relevant, but without making the other movies required watching to understand what's going on. I'm very interested to see in what ways this franchise will crossover with the other properties going forward.

This movie is unlike any Marvel movie before it..... It makes fun of itself at times and has plenty of jokes, Music & Dancing. Characters like Groot & the Racoon it will have people that never really liked superhero movies be VERY surprised when they watch this one ! It's Great in 2D & one of the Best 3D movies ever.

If you are one of the few who haven't seen this - laugh out loud movie now is your chance. I got mine on sale for $9.99! I was disappointed that they didn't do anything with the inside - the disk is gray. The inside holds a leaflet for "extra" stuff from Marvel. There's a code & you have to go online to get what they offered. Not sure if it's free or if you get a discounted price for the items. One was for a digital download for 2 comic books. Overall if your looking for a movie that will keep you awake & laughing this is the one to buy. I wouldn't recommend it for all ages - there is violence, strong language etc.. but that's pretty much in all movies nowadays - that isn't a Disney movie - although Frozen was a bit violent ;D best bet use your judgement for your kids.

I honestly did not know much about the Guardians of the Galaxy comic book series, but after watching this, I felt it was very well casted and written. It had a lot of action but was very funny in spots. It was highly entertaining and well worth the purchase. I am looking forward to the sequel and it will be interesting to see how this gets woven into the other story lines of the Marvel Universe.

My entire family watched this movie three times in the movie theater when it was released. Owning in on Blue-Ray is the next best thing. We have watched in now in our home theater and seeing it in Blue-Ray with all of the humor, action, drama, and charm has made for a fun filled Christmas Season. Buy this movie if you like sarcasm, humor, action, and drama. You will not go wrong with this movie.

Marvel is amazing. I love this movie. Nothing beats a great movie and it is a great addition to my collection. All of the character bring so much laughter to your life. Movie nights are wonderful.

Guardians of the Galaxy is another great movie from Marvel. Even though the comic is not as well known as other Marvel movies like Iron Man or Thor they did a great job of making the movie accessible for people who aren't familiar with the comic. The action was awesome as well as the soundtrack. If you are a fan of action and sci-fi, you will be totally satisfied with Guardians of the Galaxy!

The 3D on this movie was really good & worth the extra money. I had originally seen it on an airplane & it was so much better in 3D and on a 55" screen at home. My husband liked it as well. Starts a bit slow, but once it gets past the opener it's a fun ride. I loved the lead role & you really got to like all the "Guardians" by the end of the film. I'm looking forward to the next Guardian film.

Wife and kids convinced me to include this for our blue ray collection after watching on the big screen. This is a great movie for the whole family. The music really plays a big part in all the scenes (have the sound track before buying the movie). 3D adds an extra dimension to all the action. This meets all my entertainment requirements: action, sci-fi, super hero, comedy, and family friendly
