Perhaps you've seen a similar tale. People with different backgrounds, who don't really belong anywhere, and don't really get along. They come together in the end for a common cause. First you have Peter Quill, who loses his mother to cancer only to find himself abducted from Earth, with only her mixtape and a Walkman to remember her by. Then there's a powerhouse who's a little slow, a talking raccoon, a walking plant with a VERY limited vocabulary, and an assassin who wants to atone. Is there a more diverse group of misfits? This film has humor, action, and above all heart. You will be happy you saw this.

Going into this, I was looking forward to another cinematically pretty Marvel movie. I didn't expect the characters to be so darn likeable. Do you expect difficulty suspending disbelief to accommodate a talking raccoon having discourse with a talking tree? This movie will at least make you WANT to believe in them.

I wasn't too keen on watching this movie until my boyfriend MADE me watch it. In any event, this is a MUST SEE for any sci-fi geek and inner child . The extra bonus for me was the soundtrack. OMG! I love the songs so much that I downloaded it from ITUNES. Plus Chris Pratt is VERY VERY pleasing on the eyes!

Guardians of the Galaxy is one of Marvel's best films. James Gunn created a fun, emotional ride that doesn't disappoint. The soundtrack and visuals make this film stand out from many of Marvel's other movies. Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord was just perfect casting.

One of the best movies in the Marvel Universe!!!!! I've watched it so many times and it makes me lol every time! Chris Pratt is so good and Bradley Cooper as Rocket the raccoon too. I prefer Vin Diesel's Groot in this movie to the baby groot in volume 2 that just came out in the theater.

Although the "Exclusive Avengers: Age of Ultron" sneak peek is extremely disappointing, Guardians of the Galaxy is a must-have film for any Marvel fan. It is, in my opinion, the second best film the franchise has made after Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Pick up the version with the Digital HD copy included!

I was surprised that this movie was as good and so much better than the way the trailer advertised it as last summer! I actually thought it was a very good marvel movie! Loved it! Thought it was funny and fun overall! The best Marvel movie yet and I can't wait for the sequel and the direction James Gunn takes it!

As soon as the movie started I could tell a massive difference from the blu-ray to 4k. The picture in this is just stunning, although Disney/Marvel once again messed up the audio. They really need to turn up the audio track in these releases!!!

I bought this sight unseen as it had excellent reviews. A friend of mine said it was so good she saw it in the theater twice. She rarely does that. I hadn't had the time to catch it at the theater so I knew I would have to watch the disc. It was fabulous. I think everyone would enjoy it. The soundtrack rocks too.

I was unsure at first of this movie as I have never read any of the Guardians of the Galaxy comic books. However...this movie was awesome! It was funny, action-packed, and did a great job at introducing some characters that will merge in some upcoming Marvel movies. Overall I would give it a double thumbs up!

From beginning to end, this movie offers all who watch it a great time. The characterizations were great, the soundtrack leaves you feeling great about the music which defined the 70's, and the action scenes as well as the interaction of the characters with a comic twist was stellar. I highly recommend this film.

Not being familiar with the story, I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie. I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining it was. It was very character driven but still had a compelling story line. The action scenes were a bit tongue in cheek, but not overly silly. I'd recommend to anyone who likes smiling.

I think Bestbuy under priced this steelbook, I preordered this and am so glad I did as it was selling out within minutes of opening time in most stores, I think its very unique in its design and I love it. Don't need to say anything about the movie as it was one of the best releases of 2014 and the 3D is awesome.

I never read the comic books but I love the Marvel movies. Disney definitely invests the time and money to make a quality movie. I enjoy the fact that the Marvel movies take place in the same Universe and knowing that the characters and events will eventually interact. In my opinion its the best Marvel movie yet!

Watched this movie without knowing anything about the premise. Quite entertaining. Chris Pratt is perfect for the role of Peter Quill. My favorite actor (Lee Pace) was fantastic as always. Steelbook packaging is awesome and a must for collectors.

When the original Best Buy exclusive SteelBook for GOTG was released, I was between jobs and wasn't able to grab that limited release. Now I have a SteelBook for GOTG, and I am slowly but surely converting my MCU library to SteelBook versions.

The movie is a lot of fun. It's great in Blu-ray but well worth spending the extra money for the 3D copy. This movie was mean to be watched in 3D. It's not just a silly after-the-fact layered movie where the characters appear to stand out. This movie is different and the flying and fighting sequences really pop.

Based on their past success, Marvel felt it was time to reach in their bag of tricks and pull out some obscure characters that even the most devout comic-book fan would be hard pressed to know. The result? One of the most complete movies the studio has produced to date. GOTG is exactly what you want in a film.

What can I say that has not already been said. I'll echo some of the many comments. Great Story, Acting, Special Effects/CGI. The Sound track is also really good. Overall a truly fun movie. I LOVE this Steel Book. I was disappointed that I could not find it in store on release day. So I had to order it online.

I hesitated to see this movie because I love the original Marvel cast and felt like movies without Iron Man, Captain America, etc. just wouldn't be as good. But Chris Pratt OWNS this movie, he really makes it great. It was also very well written and fits into the Marvel caliber and storyline very well.
