I have wanted to see this movie back in theaters when it came out but didn't have the time. I finally got the movie and watched it before the release of the second one in theaters. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys syphi films and I look forward to the sequel.

This movie achieved a balance of futurism and nostalgia in each scene. The 3D wasn't as spectacular as the "Hobbit" series of movies but the colorful characters and rich backdrops transported my imagination to a new dimension. Marvel's universe just took the soul train to planet funk.

After so many Marvel movies, they all started to get a bit stale, the fact that this one is in space let it have considerably more freedom to do whatever it wanted and it is the most hilarious Marvel movies along with Starlord being really cool. Check it out.

I wanted to see this in the theater and didn't get the chance. A friend told me it was good so I decided to just buy it. Glad I did. Best Buy had in stock and with my rewards I was able to purchase for a great price. Movie is funny and adventurous and un fun for the whole family.

As a Marvel Movie fanatic I don't take it easy when judging their works, and this was no different. I love this movie! Chris Pratt is hilarious as Star-Lord and the rest of the cast make it so worth while. If you like Marvel or Chris Pratt you should most definitely check this out.

Do you love sci-fi? Do you love the Marvel Universe? Then get this movie! It has everything you need for success, including Chris Pratt who does an amazing job of portraying Star-Lord the main protagonist. I can hands down say that you will NOT be disappointed with buying this movie.

This is possibly the BEST steelbook package ever released for a blu-ray! Themed after Starlord's cassette player in the film, the case looks just like it, and has grooves in the appropriate places. If you want to own this film (and you SHOULD), then this is the package you should own!

I never read the comic books in which this was based on so I can only comment on it as a movie. It's a fun adventure sci fi show with a little old school funk added in. Story is various individuals who some might consider criminals learn to put aside their differences and team up to keep a device away from a bad guy who will us it to destroy worlds. This may well be the first in a series of movies to come, we will have to see. Very fun I saw it in the theaters then purchased the Blue Ray. IF you have a 3d tv I've been told the 3d version is great also.

Wasn't sure what to think going in, but once started watching the movie I realized not only was it a sci-fi movie with action and adventure, but also had some humor thrown in, which made it even better. And the sci-fi effects were pretty decent also. Definitely recommend this movie.

i wasn't too sure about this movie when i purchased it but i enjoy sci-fi so i took a chance, and i'm so glad i did. it was action packed with a great sound track and alot of humor ...i would recommend this to everyone and i can't wait till the next one comes out a definate must see

A must have for movie buffs, Marvel fans, Sci Fi Fans. the Colors Pop on a 4K screen. I have to say I really love the characters chemistry in Guardians of the Galaxy one of my favorite Marvel movies of all time!

Marvel took a chance on an obscure comic with unknown characters and turned it into an action packed, funny, engaging story. It proves that a good story with good casting and integrated special effects is a recipe for success. Great movie with a great soundtrack for the whole family.

When I bought this movie, I didn't think I would like it. I watched it and and I said, "This is a great movie. If you are a Marvel Avengers fan, you will love this movie because it will prepare you for the upcomming movies to come like Avengers 2 then Avengers Infinity War part 1 &2.

This was an unexpected surprise! Didn't think the Guardians were a big deal growing up with Marvel comics, but this is a fantastically fun flick!

Marvel does it all again by going up, out, looking up and above into the cosmos to create the next stunning, vast, creative and diverse step in their marvel cinematic universe. GOTG is a beautiful sci-fi space opera palate that represents a new frontier for them. Highly recommended.

Was not sure what to expect but movie had good reviews so I bought it for my 12 year old son. To say that Guardians was fantastic is an understatement. Action and comedy from the opening scene until the end. Bought the 3d version and it was incredible. Can't wait to see it again...

This movies has it all! Great story, special effects, good actors, and fighting in space! The humor is excellent. Hopefully the new Star Wars movies will use this as an example of a great space opera movie. Watch this movie! You will believe in talking raccoons and walking trees!

This is a really enjoyable film. It stands out from the rest of the Marvel-verse in that it's not a really a super hero / comic book movie so much as it is a space opera akin to Star Wars, but the action, humor and 80s references make it well worth watching for fans of both genres.

Let's be honest, the Guardians of the Galaxy are not a big name in the world of Marvel comics. With that said, I had at least as much fun watching this film as I did watching the Avengers...and maybe more! I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for a genuinely fun film.
