This is a great movie and I am a sucker to get my faves in the steelbook variety. It’s perfectly suited for a trash panda!

I love this film even though the romantic subplot is not needed. Any who if you love marvel add this to your collection!!!

If you are either a fan of Comics or a fan of Sci Fi, or just a fan of Action adventure stories, and you have not seen this movie? You are MISSING OUT! This is truly one of the biggest Surprises in movies for 2014. (Though I knew it was going to be a hit, because Marvel has yet to make a bad movie). But overall, the story is intriguing, though the premise is different than the comic, but Directors James Gunn, doesn't hold anything back in this Series debut. The story is exciting, the characters are incredibly interesting, and provide great depth for future films, and there isn't really anything bad I can say about the movie. Oh and did I mention the soundtrack in the movie? The soundtrack is easily the most memorable thing about the movie. Songs that young people like myself have not really heard outside of an oldies station here and there have become so incredibly popular, that I see them dancing at tailgates and parties. The soundtrack for this movie is absolutely amazing, and the way scenes paired with the music provided an incredibly fun dynamic in this film. Chris Pratt delivers a fantastic performance, but the stand out performance really goes to David Bautista who has the best comedic timing and lines in the film. You don't expect him to steal the show, but overall, this film is a MUST watch. Pick up this movie, grab some popcorn, put your feet up and enjoy this adventure. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they integrate these characters in to the expanded Marvel Universe!

No one was expecting this to be as great as it came out to be. James Gunn proves himself as a director with this film.

Happy to add this movie to my others. Glad to hear that the group continue and I can look forward to more Star Lord adventures.

This looks far superior to the Blu Ray release with better blacks in dark scenes and not as washed out in bright scenes.

This movie is a great introduction to the best rag tag team in all the MCU. Great movie, great story and an AMAZING cast!

To be honest, until the rumors about this movie started swirling, my only exposure to Guardians of the Galaxy was, well, no, I hadn't had any exposure. I hadn't even seen it in my local comic book shop (my only interest in Marvel was the X-titles). So, when I went into this movie, it was with a truly clean slate on which my impressions would be written. Not knowing the backstory, when it started with the alien abduction after Starlord's mother dies, I was thinking .... boring! Alien abduction is such a weak plot device. Well, for this movie, it's not, it is the starting point for what turns out to be a great movie. So, that said, here is the good, the bad and the ugly: Good: lots of fun! Action, adventure and comedy. Chris Pratt carried the film. The effects were amazing. Bad: "I am Groot" ... 'nuff said. Or maybe not: how much did Vin Diesel get paid for that line anyways? Ugly: How exactly does this fit in in MCU? Other than to push the upcoming Thanos plot along, it doesn't. My Purchase: I bought the BluRay 3D edition which comes with regular Blu Ray and Digital HD Download. Personally, the Digital Download is worth the price alone. Just don't tell the studio execs that, or they will stop bundling it. The gag reel is hilarious, and the special features are pretty good, but could be better. I think that a more technical behind the scenes look would have been better, but that is just me. Wether you are a Guardians fan or not, this one is worth the price!

I missed out on the 1st release of this steelbook, so glad they brought it back and in 4k! Looks amazing inside and out!

I fully expected this movie to be a lame addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thrilled to have been very wrong. Loved it.

Somehow, the hype train didn't roll straight over this one. It's just as good as advertised. With so many chiseled jaws and grim, determined brows crowding the superhero scene over the last ten years, I think we really needed a film like this to remind us of how much great, loose fun the genre can still be. In fact, even calling it a superhero movie may be something of a stretch - it spans a number of different classes, plucking fitting elements from each and packing them down into a beautifully odd, curious, colorful bouquet. It's as much Star Wars or Indiana Jones as it is Thor, a glowing hunk of sci-fi and adventure with no taste for restraint and a ticklish funny bone that really sets it apart. Having read comics for most of my life, I know how uncommon it is to see a filmed adaptation that even nears the kind of boundless imagination possible on the printed page. In this, too, Guardians of the Galaxy is a gust of fresh air - at all times, the screen brims with rich detail, superior dashes of inconsequential world-building and oodles of hints and winks. It's as close as I think Hollywood has ever come to flashing the sense of joy and wonder inherent in that medium to a broader audience, a real treat to drink in and enjoy. I can't help but admire the balls it took to go this far into left field, to create something so wholly different from the present status quo. Admire, that is, and appreciate. What a ride.

I love that all the Marvel movies have been getting the 4K Steelbook treatment. This one in particular looks stunning!

Great movie entertainment for the whole family! Buy it bet you can’t keep a straight face for the whole movie! Good music too.
