I must admit when I heard they were making a movie of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, I had very low expectations for a film about some not-so-well know characters from the Marvel Universe; I had to look up the characters as I have not really had much interest in them before hahnd. Now, after seeing the movie, I am more than glad to say that I was wrong, for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY turns out to be everything you'd want in a summer blockbuster and more. This movie is a really fun romp. It doesn't take itself too serious, as you shouldn't either. That lighter aspect makes the movie much more watchable and entertaining from my perspective. It had stunning visuals, an OK storyline, better acting than some other Marvel movies. Overall this movie was fun, it had just enough seriousness to make for a very entertaining movie. I look forward to the next intsallment.

This is the sequel to one of my favorite movies, Guardians of the Galaxy. Like it's predecessor, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is a very fun movie. It picks up where the first one leaves you, and like the original, it has a great balance of action and humor. I'm not sure what genre this movie should fall into. It is an action movie, but not like your typical action movies. It is funny, but is not a comedy. These guys are really superheros, but this really isn't a typical superhero movie. I guess is would be a humorous, action-packed, science fiction superhero movie. I was worried when I saw the sequel coming out. I thought it would be hard to create a sequel as good as the original, especially with such a unique movie. But they did it, and I am glad they did.

I watched this for the first time. It was entertaining and a humorous. It's definitely different from the other Marvel superhero movies. Fun for the whole family.

The Marvel cinematic universe knocked it out of the park with this movie. Everyone knows how big of a risk this film was for the studio, but they surely delivered. I won't dive into critiquing the movie because many have already. I will rate the physical product itself and the DVD. As with all current DVD packing, this is easy to unwrap and open, so no complaints here. My only complaint is the lack of special features. I know that the blu-ray and other special editions include loads of special features, but I miss the days when they'd pack more than 2 special features into a DVD release. I would have loved a gag/blooper reel, but I only get like a short BTS feature and one deleted scene. I will let this slide for now since this movie was excellent and now that I have the DVD, I can watch this repeatedly until Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Guardians of the Galaxy was the surprise of the summer. When the first trailer hit, I said to myself, "This is either going to be amazing, or terrible." I was very pleased when I got to the theater and found the former. GotG has all of the "bigness" of Avengers, but there's a smaller story with even more heart at the center. By the end of the movie, I felt like I knew quite a bit about, and actually cared about the characters. The single-disc Blu Ray is a little slim on special features, but Best Buy™ had a great price and as soon as I saw their ad I ran out and picked it up. Packed with the kind of detail that rewards repeat viewing, I'm sure this disc will take many visits to my player. Not sure how Marvel are going to keep topping themselves, but as their "cosmic" universe continues to expand, I'm sure they will find a way.

The first thing I should say, since Guardians of the Galaxy is not one of the better known Marvel comics, is that you don't need to have read the comics to enjoy or understand the movie. The story starts you from zero, introducing the characters with their own individual backgrounds and personalities. In some ways you may actually be better off not having read the comics as some details about the characters have been changed, both to make for a smoother, more coherent story line, and to make it fit into the broader storyline laid out in the other recent Marvel films (The Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, etc) that have come before. A couple of characters from The Avengers storyline make appearances here, tying the two together, but most of the characters in Guardians of the Galaxy will be completely new to movie-goers.

We MARVEL fans will watch anything MARVEL, even a movie about a bunch of D-lister comic heroes. Well I loved this ragtag team of misfits and loved the 1970s sound track. This movie has something for everyone: lovable characters, adventure, action, great music, cool gadgets and spaceships, good triumphs over evil and the promise of more to come! This is a review for the 3D blu-ray widescreen release. The picture and sound quality are good. The 3D feature enhances the movie but does not have any blow you away 3D scenes. Special features include: Guide To The Galaxy with the director, James Gunn and a featurette on the making of the movie.

i think bestbuy has been listening to my complaints as to how they should ship out bluray steelbooks. this one arrived in the typical carrogated packaging, with no inside materials, which had me worried, but the slip cover that this steelbook came with covered all of the back, top and bottom and some of the front of the steelbook. keeping it all pretty much covered except for the sides. from what i've seen there is no damage to the steelbook since the cover went over a good chunk of it. so i'm glad. either way, would it hurt bestbuy to provide actual padding in said boxes for steelbooks? this bluray is really nice though. the picture did it no justice of what the steelbook would look like. so i'm very pleased. lots of extras, and comes in english and spanish audio for those latin speaking customers.

Marvel movies never fail to impress, and Guardians of the Galaxy is certainly no exception. It has all the humor, action, clever writing, tension and story that makes any movie great. Even having never read the Guardians of the Galaxy comic books before, I felt this movie did a wonderful job bringing me up to speed and compelling me to follow their adventure. Personally, I would have rather they released this in a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack, that way I would have options available on how to watch it. But in the end I can understand, and I'm fairly glad they packed the disc with so much without having to worry about releasing a DVD too. Whatever the price, if you like action movies, Marvel movies, or basically a contemporary classic, this is a fantastic buy. Like me, you won't be disappointed!!

I knew nothing about this movie before seeing it and was really surprised how good it was. I like how these characters were included in other movies.

I saw this movie in theaters and I'm glad I did. A movie based on one of many Marvel comics is always a reason enough to be excited. Though, GOTG tends to stand out as the characters have yet to ever be introduced on a major scale. Even before the Avengers and the solo films beforehand, lots of people already knew the characters due to cartoons, video games, various comic reboots, etc. I reckon down the line another franchise, super group of heroes will be considered the underdogs, breath of fresh air once GOTG really takes off. Sequels have been planned already and I certainly look forward to it. Lastly, as far as this particular product goes it's a must buy. It comes with 3D Blu Ray, Blu Ray, and even a digital copy to enjoy whenever one is on the go whether long or short commutes.

Really glad I upgraded the TV and player to 4K - and this was the first 4K movie we bought just due to the incredible quality and display. This is what one would see if actually on the set, if not in better focus. It sounds like a pitch for 4K [no, not moving to 8K yet] and it is, somewhat, but watching *any* film with this type of clarity and "pop" makes buying and watching movies fun again. This movie was good in blu-ray but better now. The story is fun, the characters are even more entertaining and if this becomes a series, will be downright fun. This one is perfect for the whole family!
