Love the movie and the steel case. 4k looks and sounds awesome.

My wife and I saw this in the theater and loved it! We loved the humor throughout the movie. I preordered this as soon as it was available. There are lots of features along with my favorite, a gag reel. Picture is amazing as always. My son is begging me to see it, but with his age, he is still not ready for it. There is some adult language in this, so parents keep this in mind while showing young ones. But this would be my vote for movie of the year (2014). Pick this one up if you haven't already.

I wasn't sure at first if I was going to like this film, since I never really cared about the Guardians characters in the comics. But it was a different take on Marvel films, and that's what makes it great. The fact that Marvel continues to diversify their movies is what keeps them from getting stale. Part sci-fi action adventure, part comedy, this film is less of a "super heroes beating each other up film" and more of a film for Farscape/Firefly fans. And yet, it still fits into the Marvel universe.

I have been wanting to get this for a long time. It is a good movie.

These "guardians" all start out a little misguided, but when faced with an obstacle, they are able to come together for the greater good. There are innuendoes and action fight scenes that show some blood, but over all it is a clean, fun movie. My 6 year old daughter LOVES this show and asks every day to watch it (we don't let her), and especially loves the character, Rocket. Although I didn't find it as funny as my husband, the movie has grown on me and the music (since I'm an 80s child) is great!

I have been dragging my feet on getting any Marvel movies since they are making so many of them at such a fast rate. It seemed like they would just end up releasing a collection of them soon. That being said, my wife really wanted this movie and we got it. I am not disappointed. This movie is funny and visually stunning. A must have even just to look at all the special effects going on in the movie. After all, isn't that why everyone liked Avatar? (The blue people not the airbender)

Kid gets kidnaped by aliens, grows up, not too dysfunctional, and saves the galaxy. Kid that grows up and has a sense that the life around him and in him is really important, with some arrogance and cockiness that his skills, knowledge and abilities are good, which for his character turns out to be just right. Wants to be independent but part of the system sort of, just not tied down. What was that other movie the guy said, do the right thing but it doesn't hurt to get rich along the way !

GotG was the second highest grossing film of the year, so I'm not going to spend time reviewing the film itself (chances are you've already seen it). As for the blu-ray itself, it's a must-own and even if you don't have a 3D tv/player yet, you should invest in the 3D blu-ray as the 3D scenes are expanded to replicate the viewing experience of seeing the film in IMAX. I do wish more bonus features were included but that's been a problem with all Marvel releases ever since Disney took over.

Good story. Good cast. The combination makes for a funny movie.

Even though I've seen it, i finally got my hands on the blu ray

What can I say? This was my favorite movie of the year (and probably my favorite Marvel flick). The Blu Ray doesn't have any bells and whistles other than the normal items: Audio Commentary Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scenes Making-of Featurettes Exclusive Look at Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron Gag Reel But thats probably fine for most people. If you're a hardcore Marvel fan or a feature rich Blu ray person, I'd probably wait until they re-release it (which I'm assuming will happen).

What can one say about Guardians of the Galaxy? From the trailer and the 80's music in it I was expecting a bad parody of a super-hero/sci-fi movie. What I got was the best action-adventure sci-fi movie I've seen i n years. The action, special effects, even the music blended into a seamless film with just the right touches of humor and excitement. My hat's off to the creative team who turned a 3rd rate Marvel property into the best superhero film since the Avengers. Get this and enjoy...

A good dvdxwith outstanding conymtent and a good pricing

Interesting and different from previous movies made by Marvel.

First of all, let me say that my expectation going in was fairly low, and the movie exceeded my expectation. However, if you read the comic books and that is your bar, I can't guarantee that you'll enjoy it as much as everyone else. This movie is witty, it's funny, and sets up great for future character development. The characters' back stories (except for Peter Quills/Star Lord's) is subtle, but enough to help you understand the character's frustration with the main antagonist or their own selfishness. Great visual effects, great voice acting, and with the exception of Zoe Saldana, all the actors are far superior than their public expectation. My draw back to this is that there was no DVD in the combo pack. I know everyone using UltraViolet and blu-ray now a-days, but my car only plays DVDs and the DVD would allow my family to watch this movie on trips or lend to people still stuck in the stone age using DVD players (I'm talking to you, brother-in-law.)

Saw this movie on the big screen and knew it was a must buy when released on Bluray. I could not find anything really wrong with this movie. The soundtrack was phenomenal and used to perfectly highlight dramatic or humorous plot points. The VFX put you there, and the acting and plot kept your attention and had you invest in the characters. Definitely a must have for a Marvel, but also a must have for a cinema buff that likes to be entertained and appreciate a really well done film.

Great movie that has a fine steelbook to compliment it.
