Let me start by saying that this is my 1st review here! Well I pre ordered this combo pack because I like to collect selected movies and this one had excellent price and features included including the metal case. Also I just bought an LG 55" UB8500 also at Best Buy also an excellent deal btw and watching this movie in it's 3D glory is just fenomenal!! Great movie lots of action and special effects on a 4K UHD 3 HDTV and I could watch it several times back to back and not get tired.

This movie had a lot of laughs as well as a great picture meaning that the special effects were done well. The premise of the story with the mix of humans nonhumans made for a lot of in play as well as the plot on what is good and what's bad. I don't want to give it away but they sure did leave a lead into having multiple movies with this because they're still part of the character that needs to be known to its fans because of the answers that you did not get from this first moving.

I will say that I am a big X-Men fan. I have been reading X-Men for 22 years and loved their movies, especially Days of Future Past! When I first heard that Marvel was going to do the space thing with Guardians of the Galaxy, I winced at first. I was willing to give it a try and kept saying it needs to be written well. When I saw it in the theater I was amazed. It was a typical origin movie, but it kept moving. I loved the surprise cameo! Anyway, I am looking forward to the sequel.

I loved this movie and thought the 3D made it that much better. As far as comic book movies go, this is top notch. As far as action/sci-fi movies go, this is also top of the line. Overall, this was just a great, nonstop flick filled with enjoyable characters and a great cast that will probably only get better in sequels etc. Disclosure: I'm not overly critical of movies, I can suspend my disbelief easily, etc, etc. I just enjoy this type of movie so take that for what it's worth.

Fun movie to watch with a lot of humor and a great soundtrack.

I have to wait for the 3D blue rays to come out to see most action movies. I just can't get away to go to the show. This movie I would have made an exception for (alas it was too late the nights I tried) It has enough flavor for me (as a reader of the original comic book series) and updated enough for the uninitiated to enjoy the ride. The 3D was deep and on my 70" Sharp TV and with surround sound cranked all that was missing was my wife charging me $26.00 for a coke and popcorn.

I laughed, I cried, I craved tacos afterward. This movie has it all. In the middle of some of the most dramatic moments there is humor and emotions that most of the big budget action movies can't get right. I would not put the actors up for oscars based on this movie, but every character found a way to get you invested in their part of the story. I have no idea how they would make this into a watchable movie, but this is one of my favorites from Marvel.

My viewing experience is shaped in part by my expectations. Friends and co-workers told "you're going to love it!" Well, I didn't love it, and that's okay. I had fun watching the film. Unlike the Avengers films, Guardians didn't have a series of solo films to build up its characters. Instead, Director James Gunn has to get us invested into each character's background and motivations quickly. It works for Peter Quill and Rocket Raccoon, but I wanted to see more of Gamora and Drax. That's a compliment to the quick work Gunn has to do in this film. My enjoyment - I did buy the blu-ray to be entertained - was tempered by the wish for more. Again, that speaks to power of Gunn's storytelling. Given the characterization shown in this film, I know I will love Guardians 2. I plan on re-watching Guardians right before the premiere of Guardians 2. I'm pretty sure it will hold up, which makes this a worth buying.

With the success of this movie, it proves that Marvel may just be untouchable. Guardians of the Galaxy is one of their lesser known, and subsequently less popular titles, that with this film, gained a massive following with its success. The Steelbook is a perk to the movie, with a very unique cover, and even side paneling, where it does not label what the title of the movie is (which would possibly be the only downfall) yet after viewing the film, is completely understandable.

I am a BIG Marvel fan. This movie lives up to the expectation.

Takes everything good about what a marvel movie should be and leaves the rest at the door. The story is sort of weak, but it's at least coherent and not full of holes like a lot of other similar films. The action and humor are spot on. The characters are fun. I don't usually go for the 3D, but this was hands down, the best-looking 3D movie I've seen. For the first time I actually jumped from 3D (when Drax's dagger is thrown at one point). The whole experience was impressive.

Picked up guardians of the galaxy because it was one of the few marvel films I hadn't bought. I had seen most of it before but this time around I wanted to really pay attention and enjoy it with my son. Needless to say we both had a great time while watching the movie together, we Laughed and joked about many of the comical scenes in the movie. If you have kids this movie would be great for you to take time together and bond. I highly recommend it.

I already had Guardians of the Galaxy way back when it first came out, but when I saw the Steelbook, I had to have it. It just look cool. Guardians of the Galaxy has always been a guilty pleasure for me just because of how fun the movie was. Basically, there's nothing new if you already have this movie. I've never seen it in 4k until now, and it looks great.

Another great marvel movie. May be better than the first one

I don't even know where to start when trying to explain just how good GotG is. But suffice it to say that I was able to get my 65 year old father to go to the movie theater to see it (He DOES NOT got to watch movies, and while he has a good sense of humor, he doesn't like 'comic book' moves at all usually) and he loved it so much he's seen it more than once in a theater. Hopefully this is the start of a long franchise of GotG movies, because we all need more of them!!

Yes, The story has been tweaked a bit, but the book wasn't destroyed like so many other marvel comics turned hollywood film. The flow of the film was smooth and the action was great. Dialogue is key (great writing). By not dwelling too much on character origins stories they got the cast introduced and the story arc in action without dull monologues. One of the most entertaining movies I've watched in a long time. Fun for all ages... This coming from a comic book purist...

My boys ages 6 and 9 loved Guardians of the Galaxy when we saw it in the theater and couldn't wait to see it again when it came out on DVD/Blu Ray. I decided to buy it from Best Buy because they had the best price. We have since watched it twice and the boys love it. The movie itself is a mix of action, comedy and adventure. I would highly recommend it to families with boys. Be warned, there is slight language in the movie, so may not be appropriate for some audiences.

I'll be honest, when I saw the previews for this movie I had no desire to see it, then my kid went and saw it at the theater with his girlfriend and came back claiming it was fantastic. Ever since I've had high hopes. It delivers on all levels, fantastic action and a boat load of comedic goodness. I need to watch this movie again to catch all of the tie-ins with the rest of the Marvel movies, this movie is part of a much larger grand story and I can't wait for more.

Man do I wanted to get this movie right away, and I really wouldn't have it any other way than in the Best Buy exclusive "tape" case. It is amazing, probably the best I`ve gotten from the Best Buy exclusive collection. It of course includes the best movie of the year, The Guardians of the Galaxy, which is, in my view, as good as you can get in commercial film fare today. If you haven't seen it, you should! If you didn't get your special "tape" case... I'm so sorry!
