You can refer to film critics for more artful thoughts of the film; I'll just leave it I walked away from the theaters thinking it out-Star Wars'd Star Wars. That aside, the Blu Ray contains a lot of fun extras. What sets this apart is the Steelbook case that references a recurring object from the film in a great way. If you love this film and can track down this version, DO IT.

guardians of the Galaxy is hands down the best movie of 2014 and when I saw there was a steel book edition exclusively through best buy I had to have it, great for the movie collectors out there. The shipping was fast and the product was in perfect condition apon arrival! When I unwrapped my precious I felt like a little kid again, by which I followed that up with watching repeatedly.

Marvel's highest grossing hero movie yet delivers a great space adventure with a group of out of this world characters. An entertaining story with amazing effects and action sequences. A great soundtrack of classic songs in a sci-fi adventure in space. So many great little bits of comedy sprinkled through out keep the story light hearted while still dealing with serious story elements.

This is the first time I buy a steel book blue ray. The packaging is really cool! Very sturdy and best of all still fits with the rest of my collection. The movie itself is fantastic! I have always been a Marvel comics fan and the movie does a great job with Guardians of the Galaxy. The 3D effects are awesome! If you enjoy comic based movies, you will not be disappointed with this one!

So I will say this first I am a big fan of the Marvel movies as of late. I am a huge comic book fan in general and I love how they incorporate comic book information in the mainstream movies. I was surprised when I heard they were going to do Guardians of the Galaxy, it is a lesser known comic book and has some obscure characters. But they knocked this out of the park, a great Sci-Fi flick with just the right mixture of serious plot and funny banter. I can and do watch this movie over and over. The movie itself gets 5 stars, but I was disappointed that to get the standard edition along with the Blu-Ray you also had to get the 3D version as well for a big price jump. I have no desire for 3D in the home, did enjoy it in the theater but thats it.

It's funny to think that less than a year ago, GOTG seemed like such a huge gamble for Marvel. I mean, a bunch of misfits in space with a talking raccoon and tree? However, the gamble paid off as GOTG is another strong entry into the MCU. It's not enjoyable with great characters/plot, fun action and humor, it expands the MCU in ways that will be exciting in the future of Marvel films.

This is one of the best superhero movies made so far. There is plenty of action while still providing the back story on the characters. The 3D was very well done, as well - at least equal to, if not surpassing The Avengers' 3D. The only thing to keep in mind is that there are a few swear words and the Star Lord middle finger scene, so it may not be entirely appropriate for children.

I saw this movie in theaters and KNEW I wanted a copy to watch over and over again. The 3D steelbook version of this from Best Buy is awesome: the outer graphic packaging plus the multiple format copies of the movie make it a great deal. The movie itself? One of the finest Marvel has put out in my opinion - you should get it just for the soundtrack if you don't like sci-fi or comics!

Easily my favorite movie of 2014, Guardians is finally on Blu-ray. If you're a fan of adventure films with a sci-fi flavor, this is most definitely the movie for you. While there are a few minor issues, the excellent main characters, comedic tone and outstanding visuals should keep you entertained for the entire duration and make you eagerly anticipate the sequel. Highly recommended.

when this movie was announce, the universal reaction was "what are they thinking?" the final product, however, combines enough action, drama, humor, and character that the talking tree and racoon only add to the experience. These characters have taken an honored place in the larger Marvel universe, and I can't wait to see them alongside the other superheroes we're more familiar with.

Love this movie. My daughter purchased it on iTunes and I watched it 3 times. Had to get the DVD so I could play it in my dedicated Home Theater. Has great surround sound and deep bass. I also have an overhead channel and you could her things flying over you. Don't know if the Dolby Atmos system will do the same, since I have a separate processor for the envelopment channel.

I didn't really expect much from this movie, but when I saw it in the theater, I was pleasantly surprised. Good action, great story line, great special effects, and some good humor thrown in. I knew I wanted to own the Blu Ray, and this 3D combo pack does not disappoint. Good additional featurettes. A good fun ride, that leads up to a great sequel.

When I asked my husband How many stars he'd give Guardian of the Galaxy, he said 110 Stars. The case that the movie came in is a nice, sturdy, metal case. It has a picture of the cassette tape, unfortunately the cassette tape does Not come with the movie. Because my husband Loves the movie so much, I thought it would be worth the extra money for the Steelbook to get the full effect.

Ever since I watched 'The Avengers - Infinity War' I've had a renewed desire to watch all the Marvel Studios movies in chronological order. I definately recommend getting all these movies and rewatching them. There are so many things I missed the first time watching! Don't forget to watch all the credit and wait until the very end!!!

I remember when they announced this movie and how much speculation there would be to have two CG characters as leads. Well the speculation was completely dismissed when the final product hit the theaters! This movie was the most fun experience Marvel has made to date. It may not quite have the depth of a couple of other Marvel movies, but for sheet entertainment, it was a home run.

I wish the publisher do not give up 3D for the audiences in US. There are a lot of us who truly appreciate 3D. This movie has done a great job in story and 3D special effects. There are many pop out in your face effects like the daggers and debris flying towards. The 3D depth is outstanding as well. I recommend this movie to any 3D collectors.

Not one of the better known Marvel comics before the movie was released, but it sure is now. Great, lovable characters, fun and never boring, bright colors, great use of 3D (more depth than pop-out) and fantastic music make this a must have, even if you're not a sci-fan fan. There's a reason why so many people saw this movie multiple times (me included). Can't wait for Guardians 2.

Before I saw this movie, I had no idea what Guardians of the Galaxy was about. All I know was other Marvel superheroes(IronMan, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, etc). I did not expect the movie to be so good, especially with a talking raccoon. I was wrong. This movie has everything: good story, comedy, action. Each character was insteresting and unique. To sum up, you gotta this movie.

I'm glad I did, because Guardians of the Galaxy is incredibly well done. It's a unique story with a very catchy soundtrack. I highly recommend it to those who are fans of the other Marvel movies.
