Like most people, I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie when I saw it for the first time. While it may star unfamiliar heroes, this movie continues Marvel's trend of solid action blended with great humor. All of the characters are likable and the plot stays interesting throughout. If you are into superhero or action movies, this will definitely be up your alley.

This was a great movie at the theater (saw it 4 times with my teenaged and adult kids all 4 times as they loved it too). I would recommend you get this movie to add to your home library. And for the low price of only $19.99 for the blue ray, dvd, and digital copy set you cant go wrong!!!! I rushed to get the movie and racked up on some Best Buy points......a win-win!!!!

Guardians of the Galaxy was not your typical Marvels movie where the superheroes all possess superhuman or otherworldly powers. The rag tag bunch of heroes in this film were outcasts and loners until they decided to band together to save the planet. With a perfect mix of action/adventure, sci-fi and comedy these heroes are worth watching. I cannot wait for the sequel!

My wife and I never got a chance to see this movie when it was in theaters, but we heard how good it was and couldn't wait for it to come on on blu ray. Best Buy had the best price for this movie so I purchased it as soon as I was able. We finally watched it the other night and we were not let down. The movie was funny and action packed. I would recommend it to anyone.

Marvel has had some hits and misses recently with their movies, but this one was perfect. A lesser known comic compared to the others hitting the big screen, this movie is an excellent interruption to the string of superheros we seem to be idolizing. The (para)normal hero makes for a nice change of pace and provides more entertainment with it's "down to Earth" humor.

I absolutely love this movie I went in to the theater thinking that it was going to be just another lackluster "B" Character Marvel Universe film and was so happy with the VFX and humor that I had to purchase it immediately upon becoming available. I can't wait to watch this movie with my family when Santa arrives... I also think the soundtrack is old school awesome!!!

The movie is excellent and if you haven't seen it then get on that. This steelbook case is great. It comes with the 3d blu ray, blu ray, and a digital copy that can now be used with target ticket, google play, and vudu, where as before it was itunes or disney movies anywhere app. The case is awesome. It looks just like the tape and even has the "dirty/worn" look to it.

Whether you're middle aged or young, this Marvel Comics based film is a lot of fun. There is some violence, but no graphic results. With sarcastic, funny characters, this film manages to be both sophisticated and cartoonish at the same time. It is action packed, has a great 70's soundtrack, and interesting characters who make this film enjoyable from beginning to end.

Originally went to this film expecting something average or tolerable. However this film was far and away better than many movies, let alone Marvel films, in 2014. Great dialog, fun and engaging characters and solid acting made for a great action adevnture. Chris Pratt can expect big things in his future. This Blu-ray is worth every penny and will get repeat viewing.

household is full of both nerdy and non and I haven't heard a bad thing from any of them. The wife and I enjoy the sometimes subtle and sometimes not so much nods/jokes to the back stories and other characters in the universe while the less initiated still enjoy the storyline and cinematic elements. No matter who you are, you'll find something to enjoy of this movie.

Hard to summarize how fantastic this movie is! It's the amazing mind of Stan Lee at its best. I'll tell you that his movies are some of the very best you can watch in 3D. And if you don't have 3D because you heard that 4K Ultra HD is just as good, well, that person lied or just coming up with an excuse why they don't own a 3D TV. Movies are just better in 3D period!

So when the buzz about this movie started to surface I was shocked because I have never heard of all these characters before. Me being a big fan of all superheros Marvel and DC in general I just never came across these guys. First off, this movie takes little chunks from classic sci-fi movies over the years. At times it had a hint of Star Wars and that was cool. Star Lord being my favorite character having that Han Solo vibe to him. Being the leader and also a smarty pants and having something to say. Groot being a close second. He also adds a little morality to the story. I will say this film is NOT as funny as everyone made it out to be. It is funny at times but not gut wrenching as people claim. 8/10 But it!

This is by far the best Marvel Studio movie so far. It was excellent. It was funny, the characters were interesting and made you really care about them. The opening scene is great. Good story and keeps with characters in the Marvel world. Perfect mix of action, story, character development and humor. Overall, a wonderful movie for anyone from 3 years old to seniors.

When I first saw the trailer for this movie I wasn't really inclined to watch it. As it got closer to the release date, I heard and read good reviews so I decided to check it out on opening night. This turned out to be one of my favorite movies of 2014. It was funny, great special effects, good actions, great cast, and the soundtrack was awesome. It's a must watch.

You have a great line of main characters for this movie. Chris Pratt as Star Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamore, Dave Baustata as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, and Vin Diesel as Groot. Plus a great supporting case as well. The story line isn't bad. Star Lord is kidnapped by Yondu (Mike Rookery) as a child to be taken to his father by the ravagers. The adventure goes on from there. The CGI graphics are really good adding to the movie itself. Plus it's an add on to the Marvel universe as a whole. If you are a Marvel fan this is a must have in your collection.

I seldom go to the big screen to see a movie but made an exception for this one. It was way better than I expected - so much so that I bought it. The film never took itself seriously, had a varied mix of characters & smart dialog. The music was deftly integrated & made the movie a whole bunch of fun! The ending left an opening for a sequel - sure hope they make one!

Best Buy: No damage to disk or steelbook. Steelbook: Pretty decent steelbook cover, wish i got the original one but this one isn’t bad. Movie: Pretty good movie. With the MCU, I only pay extra for the steelbook if the movie is at least an 85%

I'll admit it, I knew nothing of the Guardians of the Galaxy before this movie came along. After reading the write-ups of who was in it and character descriptions I still wasn't sold. But OMG yes, Yes, Y-E-S this movie is AWESOME! James Gunn did an amazing job directing this film and I'm so glad he's done Volume 2 and will do Volume 3.

One of Marvel's best movies to date. An extremely humorous and action packed adventure that the whole family will enjoy. Lovable characters and a great story. The Blu-ray is just as good as the theater experience. Best Buy's exclusive steelbook packaging is fantastic as always, along with a great preorder promotional offer. Highly recommend Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Guardians of the Galaxy is a movie full of fun and action for the everyday Marvel superhero movie fan or your novice superhero movie fan looking for great adventure. I had second thoughts about this movie in beginning but a great cast of actors and actresses quickly change that to a fan rooting for my new superhero team defending our galaxy from evil. Awesome.
