Guardian of the galaxy is a good movie I have watched it several times and it never gets old

Great Movie, the 3D and special effects were very good. My husband loves this movie.

Rarely do comic book epics take themselves so unseriously. This one is full blown fun.

This 4K blue ray is pretty much perfect! The sound could have been louder, though.

This movie is amazing and I really like the poster art of the movie on the cover.

At first, I was a bit skeptical going into Guardians of the Galaxy (GotG) and was worried, how well they could adapt them into the Marvel Cinematic Universe from a relatively unfamiliar comic book series. Well, I was blown away. Marvel's first venture across the universe is a success on many levels. I see the film in similar fashion as a Space Opera, such as Star Wars. The characters have heart and soul, the action is intense and for you A/V enthusiasts - absolute reference quality material. It literally feels like an Avengers in Space sort of deal, but that's OK. The soundtrack is hands down - probably one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in a movie. There are one or two quirks with it however; and that is the main villain seems a little bland. In addition, the movie's insanely awesome quality falls a tiny bit (but not too much) short towards the final confrontation. It almost felt a little too rushed, tacked-on, maybe cliche? Other than that, personally - I would rank this as my 2nd favorite Marvel movie (Captain America: The Winter Soldier ranks as #1). I highly, highly recommend you watch this movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a great sci-fi romp that expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe to new cosmic horizons. That's not to say that you need to have seen any of the previous Avengers-related entries to understand the plot. Far from it. It plays just as well as a stand alone film, and a very fun one at that. I'd recommend it to casual sci-fi fans as well as hard core Marvel enthusiasts. As for the steelbook packaging, I for one think it's great. It may not be obviously pretty like some other steelbooks, but I think it's very creative and apropos to the film. If you haven't seen it yet, you'll get it afterwards. Really, what are you waiting for? Pop it in! Technical merits are great across the board. The only nitpick I have is the lack of extensive special features (I really miss those Marvel "One Shots") but that is truly a minor criticism. Buy with confidence.
