This movie is so creative and well written. I recommend it for all ages and those who are interested in a feel good movie. There is action, humor, and romance...just a sweet film. A must see for the entire family. This Steelbook is such a cool version. Very creative and by far the best version I've see around. For those who enjoy steel books or are collectors, it really is a must have. I bought this version, kept it sealed and bought a blu Ray version to watch. Thus, if you can still find it and it's not sold out, I highly recommend that you invest.

If you haven't already seen this movie, you must be living in a cave. Or a movie snob. For a comics-based film, "Guardians of the Galaxy" is one of the best out there. Too many of the comic book character films take themselves entirely too seriously. "Guardians" features not only top-notch visual effects, as one would expect from a modern sci-fi, but infuses it with the best one-liners since Han Solo and Princess Leia went at it in "The Empire Strikes Back." As always, look for Stan Lee. My one regret: no Vudu digital download code with this copy.

This movie was great in the theater and even better at home in 3-D. It's a nice change to get something fresh and new, rather than the same old usual rehashes and sequels that seem to be never ending. This steel book is definitely the premier version to get, especially since it comes with the 3-D version for the same price as the regular Bluray standard package version. Although I've heard if you weren't one of the lucky ones to get a preorder in, or be at your local store when it opened on release day that the chances of still getting one are slim.

Well, here's another odd assortment of characters from Marvel. An orphan from Earth, a green babe, a genetically enhanced raccoon, an all-muscle-short-on-brains tattooed baldy, and a sentient plant. Why the heck not, they're a load of fun and come together awkwardly but nicely as a team. They fight the forces of evil from obtaining a galaxy-crushing device, and don't take themselves too seriously while doing it. That's what makes this movie work - its sense of humor about itself. Give it a chance and I'm sure you'll be marvelously entertained!

This Marvel movie was hilarious. The characters are interesting, the music/soundtrack epic, and the effects are all top notch. The bonus features are fun, although I wasn't completely unimpressed with the 10 bit 80's game design graphics used in the making of bonus features. It was too long, used multiple times between topics, and just awkward. The blooper reel was pretty hilarious. I highly recommend. If you haven't seen it yet at all, get on that immediately. If you saw the movie, the Blu-ray is excellent and a great addition to your collection.

The best Marvel revival of an otherwise obscure comic book from the past. In fact, most Marvel Fans won't remember when this comic was a series. Bringing the comic to the large screen turned out better than I expected and the character representations were excellent. Rocket Raccoon stole the show every scene he was in and I thought it interesting that it was the CGI character that was allowed to Ham it Up. The Live actors also did an excellent job of portraying their comic book characters. I can't wait for the next movie which is due out in 2017.

The movie itself was a blast (pun intended). I was a little leery on the story line, but of course went to see it on the big screen first, so knew it was a great movie and that I would be adding it to the library. This is a reference blu-ray movie for both video and audio, as well as a reference 3D movie (which are hard to come by). A nice set of extras, including the gag reel. Total extras are about 40 minutes worth, most of which not available on DVD version. All in all, I am very happy to say the pre-order approached paid off for this one.

My review will focus mostly on the case. The movie is great and I'm sure plenty will be written about that. I was one of the lucky few who was able to score a copy of the steelbook and I love it! The retro cassette brings back memories and the simple design is one of the best I have seen. It had ridiculous amounts of glue holding card which I don't get why anyone would do that but with some rubbing alcohol it came right off. I'm sure best buy got thousands of complaints about buying process and hope in the future it will be fair for everyone.

Have been too busy trying to finish shopping in general (so that I can get gifts on there way out of state) to actually watch it yet but from all I've heard it is a very good movie. (Hopefully this weekend). At that price, it felt like I was stealing a movie I was going to acquire someday regardless. The second copy was so that my Son-in-law (part of the out-of state family) could also enjoy it . . . when he gets time with a 7 and 3 year old in the house. Thanks for making it so affordable ! ! I made a couple of friends aware of the bargain.

We collect a lot of Marvel movies. Still buying some DVD versions for certain systems.

Excellent movie, excellent disc, excellent soundtrack, excellent everything!! Finally, a smart movie that everyone can enjoy. If you have seen it in the theatre (if now, you're that one person), you know what this movie is about. Great story, a lot of fun, a lot of heart, memorable characters... The soundtrack will make you dance throughout the picture and even longer after it's over. The disc is superb, great transfer, a lot of extras... In a nutshell — this is the Perfect Gift (actually, I got it for myself, but if you catch my drift...).

I wasn't all that keen on seeing Guardians of the Galaxy when I first heard about it but after seeing it, I can say that it is right up there with the best of the other Marvel comics-based movies. The movie blends humor with lots of action and even manages some pretty good character development along the way. The blu-ray disc presents a great way to see the movie again, or for the first time, at home. Whether watching in 3D, standard blu-ray, or even digital, this release provides a high-quality presentation which looks and sounds great!

I would have never thought that a movie with such a limited built in fanbase could be so popular, not to mention so well made. The director knew what he was doing not only was it entertaining which was expected but it also grabbed my emotions and wouldn't let go. When the movie wanted me to laugh, I laughed, when it wanted me sad, I was sad and mostly when it wanted to be exciting, I was excited. I would not have expected this from a movie about an obscure team of superheroes that even most comic book readers haven't even heard of.

Really enjoyed this original GOTG movie refreshed in 4K. Colors popped and sound was great ! This is a fun movie, which I enjoyed more than the GOTG Part Two. Enjoyed the music of this first one more. Best Buy offered it at a phenomenal price (thanks BB). I always appreciate that I get both free shipping PLUS 5% back in Rewards points towards future BB goodies. Recommend this 4K version, especially at the red-hot price.

This was a really good movie I liked it a lot but it really looks good in 4K.

I love this film but when I first watched it reminded me of a game I played few years ago and started to again most recently. It kind of reminds me of Mass Effect in a good way. The film is beautifully done, didn’t think I’ll like this film first off but I’m a marvel fan. It’s one of my top five favorites, not to mention Drax is my favorite character

Most people know by now that Guardians of the Galaxy is a great movie. The special features on the blu ray are fairly standard, nothing unusual or exceptional, but they are well done standard features. The gag reel is funny, James Gunn's director commentary is insightful and interesting, etc. I picked up the version with the Best Buy exclusive steelbook. The steelbook has the appearance of Star Lord's walkman with the "Awesome Mix Vol 1" cassette in it. I'm a sucker for that kind of collectors' edition stuff. Go buy it. It's awesome.

I am a comic book and movie geek. And I have loved the marvel movies but when guardians was announced, I was skeptical. And I could not have been more wrong. This is a fantastic movie. It is a fun to watch popcorn-blockbuster. It doesn't have the thought-provoking political implications of the Winter Soldier. But you don't always need that. Watch this movie for action, laughs, and some genuinely touching moments. And by the way the special effects are amazing and the soundtrack is perfect. Watch this movie and just enjoy the moment.

It's the story that no one would believe could make a great movie. Then the cast came together and it all just seemed to work. Thrilling adventure, witty and humorous dialog that doesn't lower itself to cheap jokes, and a storyline that makes you learn about these characters and then care about their journey - Guardians of the Galazy is a great movie. It starts up a new chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and I can't wait to see the rest of the story unfold. Plus, a great soundtrack wraps this movie up with memorable songs.

Not being that familiar with this branch of the Marvel Universe (a talking raccoon and a tree person? C'mon.), I didn't know what to expect when I saw this in the theatre. But after all the others (Ironman, Thor, Captain America, and of course The Avengers) I should have known this would be a slam dunk. Cool story, lots of humor (subtle and otherwise), and great characters (and by the way, Rocket and Groot-pulled off without a hitch). Just a terrific sci-fi/fantasy/action movie. And as always, open ended story line for Guardians 2.
