I did not see this movie in theaters, and heard some bad and good reviews about it, so was hesitant to buy it. The recent purchase of a 3D TV though and the price for the 3D movie so thought why not. After watching it I actually liked the movie a lot. It has good action and comedy. It was a risk buying it without seeing in theaters but don't regret it, turned out for the best.

Not a huge improvement over the excellent Blu-ray and 3D Blu-ray. Little details in color improve the overall image. Especially black levels, but certain scenes might be a little darker. Sound track is in atmos, but it’s Disney atmos. Which means you have to raise the volume level high than your norm.

This movie is one of my favorite superhero movies of all time. If you just read the synopsis about it, where "a team of losers" come together to save a universe, you'd think it sounds cheesy as heck. However, not only does the movie have humor and action, it's all really good and it has an amazing soundtrack! I recommend this movie to all superhero lovers and non geeks, alike.

This movie is a really fun romp. It doesn't take itself as seriously as some of the other, recent, superhero movies and that's a good thing. Enjoyed the ATMOS on the 4K, the heights were used sparingly but pleasantly. The LFE was dialed up, OK maybe I cranked it up a little.

The movie is fantastic! Not much else to say. If you haven't seen it before then just purchase it now cause you will like this movie. The soundtrack is really amazing and placed throughout the movie perfectly. Enhances the appeal of the movie. This steelbook is a must have for any fan of the film or soundtrack and the cassette player is one of the biggest props in the movie!

The movie is fantastic possibly the best in 2014. The choice of using the cassette tape player design is mix. You either love it or hate it. I personally like the having of the characters on the cover better. But this is so limited, I chose this over the other designs. Now the more I look at it, the more I like it. But don't buy it from ebay. Demand Best Buy to produce more!

Two parts to this review: the movie and the case. Firstly, the movie is a phenomenal flick! Everything is great about it. Saw it in the movie theater twice! Secondly, the steelbook case this limited & collector's edition comes in is just icing AND ice cream on the cake. Beautifully made to catch the 80's like vibe the movie caught so well. Must have for lovers of this movie!

Guardians of the Galaxy was without doubt one of the pleasant surprises of the summer 2014 movie season. The trailer looked promising, but with the amount of CGI, it also looked like it could be a disaster. I'm happy to say that the cast and characters were amazing. This is the type of movie that anyone can love, action packed, but still has a heart and is also hilarious.

Aside from the obviously excellent production value and impressive action sequences, "Guardians of The Galaxy" masterfully tells the tale of five heroes, each unique in his/her own right, setting aside their differences to defeat the forces of evil in the galaxy; its such a cliched plot but director James Gunn manages to breath new life into it with his funny, exciting, and light-hearted style of directing (add in the charming performance of Chris Pratt as Starlord with it too), a huge factor that really won me over for this amazing movie. The music adds another dimension to the movie that is fun, just plain fun. Easily the best Marvel superhero movie up to date.

I must say, Im a huge marvel fan but the trailers for this movie never made me go see it in the theaters. As with all the talk about this movie being a surprising excellent film, I totally agree! And 3d always helps as well. So far among the top of my list for 3d movies. Amazing Spiderman2, Galaxy, and Transformers are also good if your in the market for 3d movies like me!

I didn't see this in the theater when it was out (but I wish I would have) so I did a "blind buy" of this movie because I couldn't imagine not loving it. Boy was I right! This movie is fantastic! So much fun. I've watched over and over. On second thought, maybe it's a good thing I didn't go see it in the theater; I may have spent too much watching it over and over.

Unlike the other recent films in the Marvel Universe, there was a pure joy to moments of this film, but there was also some very universal sadness. The film has a great story, visuals, and acting. Chris Pratt is effortlessly charming and sincere in equal measures. The effects are in service to the story and aren't really the entire focus of the film. Really enjoyed this!

I have to say, as a guy that knows NOTHING about the "real" Marvel universe I love this movie! I have friends that love it because it is like the comics and blah, blah, blah...this is just a REALLY good movie! It is entertaining, engaging, and hilarious! By the end I found myself CRAVING a sequel. I would even venture to say that this is better than the Avengers. GET IT!

Like most people, I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie when I saw it for the first time. While it may star unfamiliar heroes, this movie continues Marvel's trend of solid action blended with great humor. All of the characters are likable and the plot stays interesting throughout. If you are into superhero or action movies, this will definitely be up your alley.

This was a great movie at the theater (saw it 4 times with my teenaged and adult kids all 4 times as they loved it too). I would recommend you get this movie to add to your home library. And for the low price of only $19.99 for the blue ray, dvd, and digital copy set you cant go wrong!!!! I rushed to get the movie and racked up on some Best Buy points......a win-win!!!!

I enjoy super hero movies and the most recent movies have all included heroes that are dark and serious. Similar to Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy has a good mix of adventure and humor...and I find myself engaged while watching the film. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes the Marvel series and like sacrastic witty humor

Guardians of the Galaxy was not your typical Marvels movie where the superheroes all possess superhuman or otherworldly powers. The rag tag bunch of heroes in this film were outcasts and loners until they decided to band together to save the planet. With a perfect mix of action/adventure, sci-fi and comedy these heroes are worth watching. I cannot wait for the sequel!

My wife and I never got a chance to see this movie when it was in theaters, but we heard how good it was and couldn't wait for it to come on on blu ray. Best Buy had the best price for this movie so I purchased it as soon as I was able. We finally watched it the other night and we were not let down. The movie was funny and action packed. I would recommend it to anyone.

Marvel has had some hits and misses recently with their movies, but this one was perfect. A lesser known comic compared to the others hitting the big screen, this movie is an excellent interruption to the string of superheros we seem to be idolizing. The (para)normal hero makes for a nice change of pace and provides more entertainment with it's "down to Earth" humor.
