I didn't have any expectations of this movie going into it since I knew nothing of Guardians of the Galaxy. I was blown away when I saw this in the theaters and I had to include this in my movie collection. The re-watch value is great with all the action and humor throughout the film. Sar Lord/Chris Pratt is the new Han Solo/Harrison Ford of our time!

This is what Star Wars would be like if it was all about Han. It's a great action adventure movie with plenty of smart@$$ comedy. I watched it in 3d and definitely thought it was worth it. I don't have a bad thing to say about the movie. Also, one of the few recent movies I've seen where the soundtrack really adds another demension to the film (almost 4d).

I really love these excellent James Gunn films, he’s really upped the game for the Marvel cinematic universe. They are perfectly cast and tic most all of the emotional, action, and comedic boxes, and the 4K format serves that purpose brilliantly!

Never planned on watching this movie. But after hearing all the news and the positive reviews I had a feeling I might be missing out. So I bought the 3D Blu Ray version and I now see why there was so much talk about it. It was great. Awesome cast, lots of action, and it has a great story. Probably one of the best Marvel movies out there.

A great addition to the Marvel cinematic universe, this movie is a joy ride from start to finish. It doesn't take itself too seriously and yet it does have it's serious parts. It's keeps the laughs going without veering to low-brow humor. And the action and effects? Well, there's no better way to experience it than on the Blu-ray version. Two thumbs up!

I saw a trailer for this movie several months before its release, and I thought it was going to be a dog. However, the film turned out to be an excellent summer action film. The production qualities in the 3D blu ray set are very good. The 3D effects in the movie are somewhat understated but it does a good job of enhancing the visuals. Highly recommended.

This movie is unlike any other film that Marvel has released recently. It's basically an action/comedy full of classic songs from the 70s making it almost like a musical. I'm sure the soundtrack is amazing. It had just enough action to keep me interested, and just the right amount of humor but it wasn't over the top. The special effects were also amazing.

The improvements are marginal with improved blacks. There's a lot of dark scenes with a bit of extra details that's easier to see this time around. Brighter colors and whites if not significant. But if you want the best presentation in one of the best MCU films, you can't go wrong.

I was extremely impressed with this movie. It delivers in all aspects from Super Heros that I knew nothing about and by the end I loved them and wanted to know more. I was a fan of some of the more well know comic book Heros but Marvel has taken characters that I had "0" interest in and made me love them! Great 3D movie for my whole family.

loving all things marvel and enjoying the commitment to story rather than just star power and phenomenal special effects the filmmakers have perfected with the avengers and their counterparts, this film fits in with it's quality of story and dependence on characters rather than it's cg extravaganza...more of an x-men fan, but I enjoy these movies often

The movie is great. You know this. The case is boss as well. If you see it buy it quick as my local Best Buy sold out in 15 minutes. Special features are OK. I would've liked a bit more especially from the voice talent. The commentary is good and informative. The picture is gorgeous on a 1080p tv. Better than the movies in my estimation. So grab it now!

There are handful of movies worth seeing multiple times. This is one of them. Marvel did an excellent job on this one. Funny, exciting, full of hope, and fears. On line with the other great Marvel movies: Thor, Iron Man, Avengers, Captain America, etc. Though not as iconic as those, it soon can be with movies like this one. I look forward to the sequel.

Since the last credit (or end of credit scene) rolled last summer I could not wait to buy this on DVD. It was obviously the best action movie this year. I have a biased towards Marvel movies but this one sets the bar pretty high for any comic book movie. James Gunn saw Joss Whedons bet and raised him. Let's see if Whedon raises again with age of ultron.

Not only is this a great movie but the packaging is pretty awesome too! I highly recommend picking this set up whether you've seen the movie or not. It's crazy entertaining with a fun cast. Love Chris Pratt in this!! But what really makes this movie is the soundtrack. I grew up in the 80's so everything about this just screamed my childhood. Love it!!

If you are able to resist the temptation of looking for errrors at every turn your will enjoy the wild ride of "Guardians of the Galaxy." The music that takes us back to the 70's and 80's. The characters that make us care about them.The action that keeps us glued to our seats with a few comedic lines to lighten the load. I give this movie 2 thumbs up..

Another homerun for Marvel as they take a big risk on unknown characters. Great story, great characters and great dialogue. Fits perfectly in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet able to stand on its own without any previous prepping. A space opera on par with Star Wars with better dialogue and writing. Recommended to comedy, superhero and sci-fi lovers.

I rented this movie on a whim, hadn't heard anything about it good or bad. I love comedy, action, and romance movies; never been a fan of sci-fi/alien/monster movies. So I was a bit sceptical to say the least. This movie surprised me! It was genius. Funny, sarcastic, smart, great effects. Can't wait to watch the 2nd one.

THIS is why 3d rocks and needs too be brought back to the movie theatres AND home theaters alike. The changing aspect ratio from letterbox to near Imax quality 16:9 for the best 3d sequences really bring home viewers into the film in a way that boring flat-screen cannot. HIGHLY recommended at any price.

This is a very good package including the 3D disc. My teen age daughter does not like to watch 3D so we watch the 2D version, which is very good as well. The movie has quite a few jokes that are not for every one but overall is okay. My daughter felt a bit bored toward to the end of the movie, so I think the pace of the movie can be adjusted further.

GotG is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time! I think it's as good, if not better than Star Wars! I've been following the comics for some time and I feel they did a good job with bringing the idea of GotG to the big screen! If you want to see a good movie with everything from heavy emotion to fantastic comedy this is one you shouldn't miss!
